When the album was originally released in 2003, Metallica divided fans across the world with the louder-than-the-Sun snare drum and distinct lack of solos.
But the album has been reimagined for the #STANGER2015 project with every riff and lyric re-recorded and the record itself shortened by 15 minutes. Check it out

It'll be AC/DC's first live appearance since Malcolm Young was forced to retire as a result of his dementia, to be replaced by nephew Stevie Young. It's also been revealed that the mainman was treated for lung cancer before he bowed out.
But it's still not known who will be playing drums, since Phil Rudd faces continued legal troubles after being accused of threatening to kill. Despite facing seven years in jail if found guilty, Rudd said last month: "I'm going back to work with AC/DC - and I don't care who likes it and who doesn't."

And Ellefson says that while their departures were sudden, it was the right time for all parties concerned. He tells The Metal Review: "I think it was time. Shawn had been there 10 years. Next to me and obviously Dave, Shawn had been there the longest of anybody. He was a good soldier for Megadeth. In a lot of ways he helped bring me back into the fold. Shawn should always be remembered by the Megadeth fans as one of the true supporters who really got it.
"As a fan, a musician within the band, he got it. One of the songs he co-wrote ended up as a Grammy nomination, his record speaks for itself. Chris is just a phenomenal musician and a super great guy." Read more

Named after one of Iron Maiden's most popular songs, the beverage was personally designed and developed as a top quality Premium British Beer by singer Bruce Dickinson in tandem with Robinsons Brewery Head Brewer Martyn Weeks.
Typically available in bottles, Dickinson says cans have their advantages. "Firstly, cans are easier to recycle, require less packaging, get colder quicker and take up less space in your fridge," he said recently. "Secondly, cans don't break or smash, meaning they can be taken to venues, sporting events, campgrounds, beaches, and music festivals, where glass is not typically allowed."
"Thirdly," he continued, "aluminum cans are excellent protection against light and oxygen - beer's biggest enemies, so your drink tastes fresher longer. Done right, they're great for our beer." Check out the video

A number of shows were postponed last month after Osborne contracted a virus - although the band delivered a concert to just 125 diehard fans, which will be released on DVD in March.
Bassist and sole remaining founding member Pete Agnew says: "We have to postpone our UK tour. Although Linton is showing a slight improvement, his voice is in no condition to perform satisfactorily at this time.
"He's been told that there is no immediate treatment for his condition, and that resting his voice is the only way to alleviate the problem." Read more

The film, which was made possible thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign, focuses on drummer Frankie Banali and his struggles to forge ahead with the band following the death of frontman Kevin DuBrow due to a drug overdose in 2007.
The documentary is directed by Banali's fiance Regina Russell and she reveals that when the sticksman said he planned to relaunch the group, she immediately thought it would make an ideal subject for a film.
She tells IndieWire: "We had been dating for about a year, and it was around that time when he said he was considering meeting Kevin's mother to get her blessings to go on with the band. I thought that sounded like a documentary, and he said, 'No! That's going to be a lot of trouble.' But I talked him into it and started following him around with the camera." Read more

The three of us got in the studio last week, and it was, like, old-time jamming. It just built this momentum. It's gonna be fun to play these songs.
"Worship Music, it was taken well, it sold well and we're thankful. We made a lot of new fans with that, along with our fan base, and we're really looking forward to the next page. We really are.

His case was carried over until after the festive season and a judge has now rejected the deportation bid, saying Forman had an "exceptionally strong and compelling" case for being allowed to remain.
The 68-year-old American is employed as a lecturer at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow. His salary for the job falls short of the government's 31,000 requirement for foreign nationals - but once royalties for his musical work is factored in, he makes twice that figure.
An online petition supporting his position gathered thousands of signatures, while more than 60 letters of support were written ahead of his appearance at the immigration hearing. Read more

Would Cobain have approved of the shirt? According to his wife, Courtney Love, perhaps. She told NatGeo back in June of 2014 for a special series on the '90s that, "[Cobain] was desperate to be the biggest rock star in the world. But he made it look like it was thrust upon him." Read more

"We've worked really hard to develop our sound on this album. Not wanting to follow any trends we've just written the kind of music we love and hope that people will love it as much as we do! But if you're a fan of symphonic, technical and melodic metal then this one's for you."

She was originally offered the part at the age of 22, but declined because she'd never heard of Smith at the time. Latifah says: "I had to become familiar with who she was. I was just blown away - I could hear her voice in so many people who came after her. If there was a Bessie Smith alive today, she'd blow everyone else out the water. I could never match her true ability."
Director Dee Rees reports the film will deal with Smith's controversial character face-on, saying: "Bessie never walks around things - she just walks right through them." Read more

Guitarist and founding member Laurent 'Lags' Barnard says: "I think the album sounds really fearless. It's the sound of a band that's comfortable with playing music together, rather than trying to fit into a certain scene or zeitgeist or any preconceived notion of what the band should be. We just ignored the outside music world and made an album that felt good in our guts."
They've made album track Bonfire Season available to purchase digitally, while a 7-inch vinyl pressing will be issued on February 7 via their official site. View the video for the track and read more
