Tedeschi Trucks Band Kicking Off 2015 Tour This Week
. Following the retirement of The Allman Brothers Band, guitarist Derek Trucks is turning his focus to his other band Tedeschi Trucks Band, who will be kicking off their 2015 touring this week. Tedeschi Trucks Band, which also features Derek's wife Susan Tedeschi, kick off their touring this Friday in Truck's home town of Jacksonville, FL at the Florida Theatre. The home town show also serves as a warm up show to the band's very own Sunshine Music & Blues festival which will be taking place this weekend with the first day taking place in St. Petersburg, FL on Saturday and second day rocking Boca Raton, FL on Sunday. The group have revealed dates through April 24th where they will be appearing at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and the band expects to announce additional dates soon. In addition to the tour, Susan and Derek are scheduled to perform at the 25th annual MusicCares Person of the Year benefit concert in Los Angeles on February 6th. This year, the annual pre-Grammy event will be honoring Bob Dylan and will also feature appearances from The Black Keys, Bruce Springsteen, Willie Nelson and more.
