Tim Drummond (Neil Young and Bob Dylan) Dead At 74


. (Classic Rock) Bassist Tim Drummond who played with artists including Neil Young and Bob Dylan has died aged 74. Crosby, Stills and Nash biographer David Zimmer broke the news via Twitter and the St. Louis County coroner's office later confirmed his death to Rolling Stone. The cause of death has not been made public.

He played on many of Young's studio albums, including 1972's Harvest and 1992's Harvest Moon and contributed on all of his records between 1973 and 1980. His last performance with the singer/songwriter was on his 1993 release MTV Unplugged.

Drummond was on the road with Crosby, Stills, Nash And Young on their infamous 1974 reunion tour, and co-wrote Saved, the title track of Dylan's 1980 album and appeared with him on his Slow Train Coming and Shot Of Love records. Read more here.
