Tom Morello To Rage On The Road |
With more complex electric arrangements than displayed on the sparse solo debut One Man Revolution, The Fabled City is the synthesis of his groundbreaking work as an innovative rock guitarist and revolutionary acoustic troubadour. For the first time, this album bridges the gap between Tom Morello, the acoustic protest singer and Tom Morello, the guitar legend.
The tour in support of The Fabled City will display both sides of Morello's guitar prowess with both an acoustic set and full-band electric set performed each night. In regards to the format of the performances, Morello stated "On The Fabled City Tour, I will be playing both acoustic and electric guitar. I want to start off with the darker acoustic songs and then build to some of the wildest electric guitar playing I have ever unleashed on stage in my career. The idea is half Dylan/Half Hendrix. I have been practicing my ass off and can't wait to rock."

Singled Out: Greg Camp |
The song "Cat's Game" was inspired by a film that was never made. The independent director contacted me and needed a song for a film set in the late 70's- early 80's and needed to have a Joy Division vibe. So I set the "way back machine" and tried to write about the complexities of relationships from a point of view I could only imagine.
The character in the song being a confused punker strung out on model glue and wondering why girls are so elusive, always playing games and tricks on him. I spent a lot of time in my garage as a teen so I found it fitting to pen the song in a garage but I was NOT under the influence of model glue on this one.
You know you want to hear that one, so what are you waiting for? It's streaming right

Macca's Fireman Project Finds Its Voice |
"Ambient dreams in rainbow arches describe the circles of The Fireman", is how the duo described their music in a rare interview around the release of their last album 'Rushes' in 1998. Their first album 'Strawberries Oceans Ships Forest', released in 1993, was a solid ambient dance album heavy on electronics. Around this time the identity of The Fireman was unknown until the press exposed the duo as none other than Paul McCartney and Youth. The now defunct music bible Melody Maker heaped praise on the project, "Paul McCartney has discovered dance music - the results are staggeringly brilliant. They (The Fireman) take a melody and, with dexterous genre-hopping through ambient, trance and house, evolve a number of breathtaking variations."
Last year The Fireman returned to work again to start work on what would become Electric Arguments, ultimately finding thirteen days and recording a song on each of those days over the course of a little more than a year. The results this time are entirely different from any previous Fireman release.

Composed and conceived by the band's singer/songwriter Thomas Dutton, "Razia's Shadow" is a full-on piece of musical talespinning, complete with elaborate characters, powerful themes, and a hauntingly beautiful narrative. Attack! Attack! UK Week: Day 3 |
Honesty: Ryan remembers writing the melody and lyrics for the verse on top of the bassist cabs in the rehearsal room , surrounded by t-shirts and equipment. It wasn't an ideal layout for song writing haha. I think we were listening to a lot of Nirvana 'In Utero' at the time and this I think kinda influenced the music of this track. There is something sleezy about it. Lyrically, for me anyway, it kind of speaks for itself , "Honesty didn't get me anywhere" there are a lot of people out there who wanna f*ck you over and not play by the rules, sometimes you gotta get nasty
Check out tracks from the album, get tour dates, read the members blogs and learn more about the coming attack right
