The song "Cat's Game" was inspired by a film that was never made. The independent director contacted me and needed a song for a film set in the late 70's- early 80's and needed to have a Joy Division vibe. So I set the "way back machine" and tried to write about the complexities of relationships from a point of view I could only imagine.
The character in the song being a confused punker strung out on model glue and wondering why girls are so elusive, always playing games and tricks on him. I spent a lot of time in my garage as a teen so I found it fitting to pen the song in a garage but I was NOT under the influence of model glue on this one.
