Suge Knight Wanted by Police After Fatal Hit & Run Accident
Rap mogul Marion "Suge" Knight is being sought as "a person of interest" by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department in their investigation of a fatal hit-and-run accident in Compton on Thursday.

Knight's attorney James Blatt told ABC7News.com that the former Death Row Records executive claims that he was trying to escape in his car after being attacked by two people.

Blatt told ABC that Knight struck his friend Terry, who was later pronounced dead at an area hospital, and he injured a man named Cle Shaheed "Bone" Sloan (believed to be the actor, filmmaker and gang activist.) Sloan was also hospitalized and his condition was not known at press time.

According to the report, the authorities said that Knight was involved in an argument on the set of a promotional shoot for the NWA biopic, "Straight Outta Compton," a half an hour before the fatal accident.

Read the ABC report for witness filmed video of the scene of the accident and more details about the case here.

Man Kills Friend While Acting Out Waka Flocka Flame Lyrics
(Radio.com) In a disturbing case of life imitating art, a Florida man is being charged with manslaughter after accidentally shooting and killing his friend while acting out the lyrics of rapper Waka Flocka Flame song, "Bustin' at 'Em."

The song's lyrics includes such lines as "Shoot first, ask questions last," and features the sound of gunshots throughout. The accused shooter is 22-year-old Rodney Clay Patrick, who according to WESH told police he was watching a music video for the track with his friend, 17-year-old Douglas Winslow, when he picked up what he thought was an unloaded gun and pointed it at him.

The gun accidentally discharged, killing Winslow. The confession came after Patrick initially claimed that Winslow shot himself in the head during an emotional 911 call. Read more here.

Justin Bieber Apologizes After 'Ellen' Appearance
(Radio.com) "Here we go." That was how Justin Bieber started the apology video he posted Wednesday night (Jan. 28) after making a surprise appearance on Ellen. In the dimly lit close-up clip, Bieber says he "wanted to express how he feels right now" and apology for his past indiscretions.

"I was really nervous," he said of appearing on the talk show. "I was afraid about what people were thinking about me right now." He notes that it's been awhile since he's made a public appearance. "I didn't want to come off arrogant or conceited. Or basically, how I've been acting the last year and a half.

"I'm not who I was pretending to be," he continued. "And why I say pretending is, often we pretend to be something we're not as a cover-up of what we're truly feeling inside. And there was a lot of feelings going on in there."

Bieber says growing up in the spotlight can be tough. "I felt awkward up there," he said. "I felt like people were judging me." But he really wants people to know how much he cares. "How much I care about people," he said. "And how I'm not that person who says 'I don't give a f-k.' I'm not that kid. I'm a person who genuinely cares."

The past is the past, he says, but he wants to make "the best impression on people" now. "And be kind and loving and gentle and soft," he said. "And, although, people can call me a softie, that's how my mom raised me."

Hacker Still Claims to Have Nude Taylor Swift Photos
(Radio.com) Despite Taylor Swift's daring of her hacker to try and expose her nudes (because "they got NOTHING"), the hacker seems to be dead-set on doing just that.

It seems Gawker is on the trail, after having a lengthy conversation with the hacker via Kik (an instant messaging app), in which the hacker revealed more DMs from Swift, including a lengthy conversation with Girls star Lena Dunham.

The hacker alleges he is trying to sell the nudes to TMZ, which Gawker points out is unlikely since TMZ doesn't typically negotiate with cyber terrorists. Read more here.

Brian Wilson Recruits She & Him and Kacey Musgraves For New Album
(Radio.com) Beach Boys founder Brian Wilson has had a seismic influence on music over the past five decades, and his new album, No Pier Pressure, will point out his impact on the current generation of hit makers.

Kacey Musgraves, fun.'s Nate Ruess, She & Him's Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward and Capital Cities' Sebu Simonian are all on the guest list. Also collaborating with Wilson are several of his former Beach Boys bandmates, including Al Jardine, David Marks and Blondie Chaplin.

However, the album doesn't include Lana Del Rey, although the song that Del Rey was said to be working on, "The Last Song," is on the track list. Ditto Frank Ocean, although the song Wilson wanted to work with him on, "Our Special Love," is also included on the record as well.

Also not mentioned in the press release announcing the record: guitar legend Jeff Beck, with whom Wilson toured and collaborated with on-stage; Beck said in interviews that they had spent time in the studio as well.

Kanye West's 'Only One' Video Inspired By His Daughter
(Radio.com) Kanye West appeared on Ellen on Thursday (Jan. 29) to give her a sneak peek of his new video for "Only One," directed by Spike Jonze. The ballad features Paul McCartney and has Kanye singing in the voice of his mother Donda--who passed away in 2007--as she meets baby North and his wife, Kim Kardashian for the first time.

The video for the first single off his next album looks like a home movie with shots of Kanye holding his little girl and smiling. We're guessing his claims of not smiling due to 18th century art don't apply when he's with his daughter.

Kanye talked about marriage and fatherhood saying it helped him learn to lay off the ranting a bit more, which he thinks was kind of like him going through his "terrible twos."

"I've learned how to shut up more," he said as the audience laughed. "I think I'm a better human being because of [Kim] and because of my daughter, and I have always someone to think about going home to. Something for me to not only to be brave for what I want to do for humanity, but also to be more protective of myself for my family, because there's things I've done in the past that were considered negative, but I was really jumping in front of the tank for other people, or for culture, in a way. So now, I always have to have that in my mind that I have a family that I have to protect, too."

Future's DJ Was Jailed 56 Days In Dubai
(Radio.com) A dream vacation for Future's DJ Esco turned into a nightmare, after weed he'd purchased the night before in Amsterdam sent him to jail in Dubai for 56 days.

In an extensive interview with The Fader, Esco told the incredible, terrifying story of his imprisonment. 'We're at the end of the Europe tour, and it's my birthday, and we're in Amsterdam, so we're gonna celebrate! I got the weed," Esco explained. 'But I'm not trying to walk around with all this weed, you feel me? I was not intentionally trying to bring weed to Abu Dhabi. And if I would have known the rules and laws they got over there, I would have quadruple checked my bag and made sure there wasn't a piece of weed. I swear I would have."

The trouble started when a police officer accosted him for filming in the airport, and then demanded to check his bags. He said the officers found weed, though Esco claimed he didn't know it was in there--though still, he figured he'd just be sent back on the plane, no problem.

That's not what happened. Esco ended up in jail, denied even a lawyer for weeks. Things only changed after he managed to befriend the prison warden. Read more here.

Jack White Reunites With the Raconteurs and Loretta Lynn
(Radio.com) If you were ever to see Jack White perform (and it wasn't as one of Coachella's headliners), Nashville would be the place to do it. On Wednesday night in the Third Man Records head's current city Nashville, White treated the crowd to a handful of surprises.

Among them: his Raconteur bandmates Brendan Benson, Jack Lawrence, and drummer Daru Jones (who subbed for Patrick Keeler), as well as country music legend Loretta Lynn, who was previously announced as the opener.

During the encore White reunited his mid-aughts-formed side band that's been on hiatus since 2011. They jammed through "Salute Your Solution" from their last album, 2008's Consolers of the Lonely, and their hit 2006 hit "Steady as She Goes" from their debut Broken Boy Soldiers.

Meanwhile, Lynn came out during White's second encore where the famed singer performed "Portland, Oregon" from her 2004 return Van Lear Rose that the rocker produced, as well as her own track, "Whispering Sea." Watch video here.

Brantley Gilbert Celebrates Fallen Soldier In New Video
(Radio.com) Brantley Gilbert celebrates the life of a fallen soldier in his new video. The country singer continues to get mileage out of his song "One Hell of an Amen," which was the third single from his recently released full-length Just as I Am, in a new clip that weaves together different peoples' touching stories.

It's all based on the chorus of the song, which has him singing, "An' that's One Hell of an Amen/ That's the only way to go/ Fightin' the good fight/ Til the Good Lord calls you home."

Centered around Gilbert's performance of the track in an overgrown church, the video follows the lives of a fallen soldier and a man who discovers he has cancer. These emotional stories of men dying too young are only heightened by the song's bluesy guitar wails.

Gilbert reportedly wrote the track after returning from a USO tour in 2013 and, since its release, he says it's help people mourn. 'These songs are actually changin' people's lives, and that's definitely music in a whole for me," he told Country Music Is Love. 'That's what it's all about."

Katy Perry Holds Super Bowl Press Conference
(Radio.com) While Marshawn Lynch's press conference is getting the majority of the headlines from news outlets during Super Bowl Week, the big game's halftime star also conducted a press conference on Thursday, and Katy Perry was her usual funny, delightful self.

Perry started the presser by paying homage to Lynch, joking that "I'm just here so I don't get fined," and earning the laughter of many a journalist on sight.

When asked who she would be rooting for, Perry responded with a roundabout endorsement of the Seahawks (and the Girl Scouts and their delicious Thin Mint cookies). Perry noted that Russell Wilson was a friend and a fan, and she would likely be pulling for him.

Perry also acknowledged New England Patriots tight end Ron Gronkowski's fandom, and joked that Gronk is in negotiations to open the rest of her tour dates.

The "Firework" singer also dropped some hints regarding her surprise guest during the halftime performance. Read that and check out video here.

Courtney Love Cast For Recurring Role On 'Empire'
(Radio.com) Empire is probably the most tweeted about television show of the moment and judging by the live-tweets alone, the program seems to be pretty incredible. Or awful. Or both.

Either way the Fox drama has already been renewed, and will see a pretty notable guest-star gracing the program in a recurring role: acclaimed Hole frontwoman and award-winning actress Courtney Love.

Love will play a "hard rock powerhouse, who is part of Empire Entertainment's stable of artists," on the series, which stars Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson as the leaders of a powerful record label. Read more here.

Chief Keef Releases New Track Entitled 'Voodoo'
(Radio.com) Chief Keef's turning over a new leaf after a tough year. His 2014 proved more complicated than anyone could have expected: he was dropped from his label, and failed to produce any noticeable damage on the charts despite releasing dozens of songs.

On the other hand, those songs--Keef left behind pop hooks and stomping production for questing, tender experimentation. He discovered a talent for production, and released a criminally overlooked album--Nobody--full of quiet, oddball gems.

All of which brings us to "Voodoo," which charts a new direction forward from 2014's confusing morass of misplaced label expectations and self-discovery. Keef packs at least six glorious earworm moments into "Voodoo," like the way he pronounces the word "tutu," or the breakdown around four minutes when the beat falls out, misty synths come in, and his voice goes through the Stargate.

Not to mention the way he yelps when referring to money in his pocket as his "boo," or the way he emphasizes the second syllable of "voodoo" like a child learning the word for the first time. Listen here.

Carrie Underwood Previews 'Little Toy Guns' Video
(Radio.com) Carrie Underwood isn't holding back on the new video for her latest single "Little Toy Guns." The track, which is about how words can hurt a child, comes to life in a teaser for the video, which will be released in full today (Jan. 30).

The 34-second clip shows a child sitting in her room alone as she hears her mother screaming at her father. "What do you have to say for yourself? Do you even care? It makes me sick to my stomach. I can't believe I married you," the wife yells in a high-pitched scream.

In a recent interview with Chicago's US99.5 (a CBS Radio station), Underwood explained the story behind the song. 'It's about words. It's about a child hearing her parents fighting. Even at a young age she realizes how much they hurt. And she wishes they were plastic and fake, like toys, and they didn't actually cause any damage."

The new "Little Toy Guns" video will premiere on Underwood's Facebook page Friday (Jan. 30) at 11 a.m. ET. Watch the preview here.

Adam Lambert Reveals New Album's Title
(Radio.com) After a two year wait, Adam Lambert has finally decided on the title of his next album--and it might make you do a double take. The release, which marks his third studio full-length, is dubbed The Original High.

But given who's going to be executive producing it, Shellback and Max Martin--the Swedish artist who shaped the sound of Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync--the title is more of a reference to music and the release that it provides rather than drugs, a topic Lambert has discussed before in his Rolling Stone cover story and his music videos like the one for "Never Close Our Eyes."

As for when we can expect to hear the first single? Lambert tweeted that it would arrive in April. "The Original High is executive produced by Max Martin and Shellback with 1st single out in April." Read more here.

Dierks Bentley Reveals Football Favorites
(Radio.com) When it comes to football, Phoenix, Ariz. native Dierks Bentley is a dyed-in-the-wool homer. "My favorite team is the Arizona Cardinals. They came to town in 1987. I still remember going to the very first game. I think it was against the Dallas Cowboys," he recalls during a recent Radio.com interview.

"I've watched them over the years, good years, bad years. They actually had one of their best years this year, which was pretty awesome for me and a lot of fans out there that have been pulling for them for a long time."

Bentley is such a hometown champion that his favorite Super Bowl of all-time occurred right in his backyard back in 2008, when the New York Giants spoiled the New England Patriots' potentially perfect season at Super Bowl XLII, held in the University of Phoenix Stadium (which just so happens to be the site of this year's Super Bowl).

'The best Super Bowl I ever saw was actually in Phoenix. The Patriots were playing the Giants, and Peyton Manning was in the box next to us," Bentley remembers. "He was there watching his brother Eli (Manning) play. It was just an amazing Super Bowl, there were some awesome catches. It was really, really fun."

For more of Bentley's football favorites, including which of his fellow country music stars could hack it on the gridiron, watch the full video interview here.
