The Raskins alleged that they were treated badly on the 2014 tour including an incident in Darien, Connecticut, where members of Motley Crue's road crew supposedly ran out on stage in monkey masks and sprayed The Raskins "with water guns filled with urine."
The New York Post reports that The Raskins put up with months of similar pranks after paying $1m to secure the support slot. The Raskins also say they were forced to play short sets in frequently empty venues as tour managers refused to open doors in time.
They also claim PA systems were turned off or interfered with during their sets and that they were denied the right to sell merchandise or to use dressing rooms. Read more

The Sun reported this weekend that he and brother Ray were aiming to perform as The Kinks at the Glastonbury festival, and also take their show to the United States.
A reunion has been thought more likely since frontman Ray guested at guitarist Dave's solo show in December last year, performing classic track You Really Got Me for a surprised audience. The pair had previously ended their two-decade feud by meeting and playing music together in 2014.
The Sun claims that Ray said: "Dave and I will definitely work together again. And we want to play live. Maybe The Kinks could play Glastonbury?"
But Dave reports via Facebook: "Me and Ray have not spoken about Kinks shows at all - although we're trying to work together on other stuff and we have worked on music together." Read more

Frontman Matt Tuck had the following to say about the concept of the new Ville Jurrikkala (Nightwish, Michael Monroe) directed video (which can be streamed here), "It's not really a 'doomed' wedding as such It's really just a take on a concept I had.
"There's this beautiful ceremony, and it appears to be all about love and trust, but there's this undercurrent of mistrust and bullsh*t to go with it. The church we filmed it in is perfect. It's not your typical wedding venue - it's really run-down and dirty.
"We thought that contrast would be really cool to have with the idea of the video. We wanted it to look really grand and ornate, but underneath it all, it's a bit dirty." Read more

The Florida band's first record, which has been out of print for several years, will be re-released alongside a deluxe version which includes 13 additional early versions of tracks which were previously unavailable.
Vocalist and guitarist Matt Heafy said: "The purpose of this release is to show the very early beginnings of Trivium - perhaps an era unknown to most listeners of the band.
"To look back at Ember as the starting point of Trivium becoming recognised worldwide is a staggering thought for me, considering I was 16 or 17 years old during the writing and recording of the record." Stream the demo

The theme of the video shows a son watching his mother struggle with addiction. Frontman Craig Mabbitt spoke about the concept of the clip in an interview, saying that the video is "not about someone's mother specifically.
"But we thought it would depict someone who's the closest to an individual (a parent and a child) and the child picking up all the slack and just can't hold his mother up anymore if she herself doesn't wanna fix it. Which is what the song is essentially about. You can't help someone who refuses the help." Watch the video

When Ritchie Blackmore left Deep Purple in 1975, many a rock n' roll fan was left befuddled. Why would one of rock's top guitarists leave one of the world's most popular bands? Regardless of the reason, listeners would ultimately be thankful, as Blackmore soon launched Rainbow - a band that rocked just as ferociously as Purple, whose music has proven to be timeless and incredibly influential on subsequent heavy metal bands.
And along the way, Blackmore proved to be extremely adept at spotting largely-unknown talent, and introducing them to the world - including vocalists Ronnie James Dio, Graham Bonnet, and Joe Lynn Turner. However, with Blackmore as the group's leader, band members came and went on a regular basis - preventing the band from possibly reaching their full potential.
'The Other Side of Rainbow' features nearly 30 all-new interviews conducted exclusively for this book, including former band members (Joe Lynn Turner, Graham Bonnet, Tony Carey, Doogie White, etc.), those who worked closely with the band (Wendy Dio, Flemming Rasmussen, etc.), and were admirers of their music (Eddie Trunk, Charlie Benante, etc.). The band also revealed that they filmed a video for the new track at an abandoned church in an undisclosed in the announcement U.S. city. Bassist Kent Brooks had this to say about the upcoming clip:
"We actually filmed in a place considered to be one of America's most dangerous cities. We had to hire armed police officers as security - that was a different experience, coming from New Zealand!" Stream the song here.
Mark Tremonti of Alter Bridge had this to say about the new single from their touring mates, "'Pure Evil' is totally killer! This song will be so badass live. They're hardcore." Read more

"It's pretty special when you find that your music has inspired others to create something new and special." Watch the video

"Break Me is my interpretation of a specific aspect of the human condition. We all have the same emotional battles whether it's positive or negative. "Break Me" is about admitting you need help, and knowing that you've gone too far into yourself.
It reminds me of an old anecdote: A guy is stuck in a hole with no way out. A doctor walks by, writes a prescription, throws it in the hole and keeps walking. A priest walks by, says a prayer, and moves on. Finally the guy's friend walks by and jumps in with him. He screams "What the hell did you do that for?! Now we're both stuck in here" and the friend replies "Yeah - but I've been here before and I've figured the way out".
This basically sums up the theme of "Break Me". Being vulnerable and confident enough to know when you need to reach out for help."
