They quickly added, "But fear not, he was only there to play for the inmates of Changi Prison, and also to do a special question and answer session.
"The former Ozzy guitarist did a half-hour set for 40 prisoners, declaring: 'It seemed like the right thing to do, since my first gig with Ozzy was in a prison [1987 at Wormwood Scrubs].'"

Now Motorcyles-USA.com has a blog about a recent run-in with the "production" of a scene for the show that was a mock Thelma and Louise storyline staring Gene's non-wife and it leaves little doubt just how real and spontaneous the so-called "unscripted drama" really is.
Apparently the producers of the show put out a call for "extras" to show up at the famed Orange County, Ca biker bar Cooks Corner for filming for the show and the experience left one biker with a nasty taste in his mouth as he exposes just how bogus the "reality" of the show actually is.

Two men, whom Bayley says were clearly on drugs, nearly ran down one of the band's entourage after their show in Agrinio, then followed the tour van and threw a brick through one of its windows, narrowly missing someone inside.
Bayley also says drummer Larry Paterson wounded his eye during the show after the small stage forced the band to fall over one another and he got a drumstick knocked into his head.

Joe Perry To Team Up With T-Pain For Football Show |
Perry and his band will perform a series of songs from his fifth solo CD Have Guitar, Will Travel, released in October this year, that will include the album's first single, We've Got A Long Way To Go. In addition to experiencing Perry's trademark rock and roll based ferocity, fans will be treated to an exclusive rendition of Aerosmith's unforgettable number one hit single Walk This Way, featuring leading singer/rapper and producer, T-Pain, who will make a special guest appearance with Perry live on-stage.
"I've tailgated up north a few times and it's hard cooking sausage with your fingers frozen," says Perry. "I'm looking forward to getting some ribs going in Miami and to being able to feel my fingers, which is always sure to help my performance."

The two bands will hook up for a Petaluma, CA show on December 27th, before heading to San Francisco and Solana Beach. Cracker will then perform a New Year's Eve blow-out in Denver on Dec. 31st, and then link up again with CVB in January for additional dates in St. Louis, Chicago, Grand Rapids, Philadelphia, Washington DC, NYC and Toronto.
Cracker, featuring co-founders David Lowery (vocals/ guitar) and Johnny Hickman (lead guitar / vocals), along with bassist Sal Maida (Roxy Music / Sparks) and drummer Frank Funaro (The Dictators / Joey Ramone / Del Lords), are out in support of their critically-acclaimed Sunrise In The Land Of Milk and Honey album, while Camper Van Beethoven will be reconvening to run through indie rock staples that span from their 1985 debut Telephone Free Landslide Victory (including their quintessential early alt-hit "Take The Skinheads Bowling") to their more recent 2004 effort New Roman Times.

Maurice Gibb, a member of the Disco supergroup the Bee Gee's, died at a Miami hospital. He Was 53. Last Thursday Gibb was rushed to the Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami where he underwent emergency abdominal surgery. more
"I think I am about the first person to ever get thrown out of the Hall of Fame," former AC/DC Bass player Mark Evans told Australian rock site Undercover. As you may or may not know AC/DC will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame later this month. At first bass player Mark Evans, who played on the groups first three studio albums (those released in the US), was to be inducted along with the other members of the band but then suddenly Mark found out that the Rock Hall had changed the rules and he wasn't going to be inducted. more

The Who's Pete Townshend is at the center of a child porn controversy after a British paper reported that an "unnamed" UK rock star was under investigation for his involvement with online child porn. In one of the strangest music related stories in a while, a fan in Bergen, Norway was injured during a concert last Thursday night when he was struck in the skull by a flying sheep's head. The Associated Press reports that members of Norwegian death metal band, Mayhem, were carving up a dead sheep on stage as part of their show "when the animal's head flew off lead singer Maniac's knife and struck 25-year-old Per Kristian Hagen." more
