Pierces in March
PR reports: On return to New York from a sold-out UK tour supporting Albert Hammond, Jr. (The Strokes), The Pierces have announced that their new album entitled Thirteen Tales of Love and Revenge has been scheduled for release on March 20, 2007 on Lizard King Records US.

Allison and Catherine Pierce are two sisters born and bred in the deepest of southern places, the beautiful, yet tragic, state of Alabama. A concoction that led them to Williamsburg, to produce their new album with Roger Greenawalt (Ben Kweller, Adam Green) [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

3 Inches of Blood Tap Slipknot Producer
PR reports: 3 Inches of Blood, the Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada based metal sextet is back in the studio recording their second Roadrunner album set for a Spring 2007 release. The still untitled album is the follow-up to 3 Inches of Blood's RR debut, Advance and Vanquish. Famed, Grammy-winning drummer Joey Jordison of Slipknot is producing the new album. "Working with Joey has been awesome so far," says singer/screamer Jamie Hopper. "He's made a seamless transition onto the 3 Inches of Blood drinking team and is pushing us harder than ever before. We're coming up with some killer stuff, which we can't wait for everyone to hear." Says Jordison, "I've been into 3IOB since Battle Cry Under a Winters Sun. I've wanted to work with them since. Unfortunately, timing didn't work out, but in the spring of 2006, timing was right. The new lineup is lethal, stellar musicians. We honed in on every beat riff and vocal to make this a legendary recording. The musical equivalent to a beheading."- Click Here for the Full Story

Showdown in Feb
PR reports: This February 20th The Showdown Is Set To Release "Temptation Come My Way"! The Showdown returns from a European tour with Norma Jean just in time for their release. The Showdown more than ups the ante as "Temptation Comes My Way" is over two years in its creation. The band put painstaking effort into making this record flawless. And as strong as their debut effort was, the new release is as The Black Album was to Ride The Lightning. The production, provided by Paul Ebersold (Three doors Down, Saliva) is huge, and reminiscent of a different era. A better era. An era when it was about songs, not just brutality. There is as much classic metal influence as there is heavy rock. Think Iron Maiden, pre-Load Metallica, and Stone Temple Pilots. Choruses, verses, bridges. Dramatic song writing, that is not just seventeen riffs, randomly pieced together, with a fifteen-word song title. Six of the twelve tracks even have cowbell and every song has an epic guitar solo!- Click Here for the Full Story

Gilby Clarke Comp
PR reports: Now is the time to reflect back upon the stunning achievements of one Gilby Clarke, singer/songwriter/guitarist/producer. Spitfire Records will do just that with the January 30, 2007 release of Gilby Clarke. The album includes 14 tracks from his muscular solo catalog, two from his days in the criminally-ignored Colonel Parker with ex-Stray Cat Slim Jim Phantom, and one re-recording of "Black" with Rock Star: Super Nova runner-up Dilana.

CBS-TV's Rock Star: Super Nova put the former Guns N' Roses guitarist (he replaced Izzy Stradlin) in a band with Metallica/Voivod bassist Jason Newsted and Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee in a reality-show search for a lead singer. The show proved so successful, Gilby will be hitting the road with a touring version (with Train/Black Crowes bassist Johnny Colt and winning singer Lukas Rossi) kicking off in Las Vegas on New Year's Eve.
