MTV reports: She's gone from acting like a teen skate punk to a grown-up seductress in her videos, so it makes sense that Avril Lavigne would try her hand at some big-screen emoting. The singer, who recently wrapped a world tour, is taking a break from music for a part in "The Flock," an upcoming Richard Gere/ Claire Danes movie

The former LIBERTINES singer, 26, and his musician friend PETER WOLF were stopped by police after driving "erratically" through west London in the early hours of yesterday morning (30NOV05), only two days after Doherty returned from Arizona, US, where he had quit a drug rehabilitation clinic. Contact Music reports: PEARL JAM star EDDIE VEDDER was rescued from a drowning death when Hawaiian fishermen spotted the rocker bobbing about in the waves.

Spitzer Vs Sony
FMQB reports: In the latest chapter of the ongoing story of Sony BMG's flawed copy-protection software, New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer is calling for retailers to immediately pull the albums off their shelves. Spitzer also chided stores for not yanking the CDs before the Christmas shopping season began.

According to Business Wire, Spitzer's office sent investigators out to buy the specific CDs in question after Sony BMG's recall had been enacted. DMX Sentenced
AP reports: DMX was slapped with a seven-day sentence by a Bronx judge who said the rapper is "a violation waiting to happen." 

DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, pleaded guilty Tuesday to driving with a suspended license in the Bronx last April after his sport utility vehicle struck a car that in turn hit a police car. He was also fined $500.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Tony Meehan RIP
Gigwise reports: Former Shadows drummer Tony Meehan has died aged 62 after sustaining head injuries from a fall.

Meehan was a founding member of the group and played on hits such as �Apache' between 1958 and 1961.

I have no information whatsoever about the identity of the semen donor for either child as such (semen) was obtained anonymously from a semen bank under an agreement of confidentiality." MC5 Win Name Case
Aversion reports: A District Court judge ruled that the surviving members of The MC5 did not violate trademark laws as alleged by the band's singer's widow.

Judge John J. Feikens of the Eastern Michigan court district dismissed a suit against the band filed in the name of its founding singer, Robert Derminer (real name: Rob Tyner).
