Rush
Vs Police |
BW&BK reports: For the past year, John
Cannivet said he has had to bite his tongue as he's read distorted versions
of an altercation he witnessed between the lead guitarist for Rush and
Collier sheriff's deputies on Dec. 31, 2003. As an employee of The Ritz-Carlton,
Naples, where the fracas occurred, he hadn't been allowed to comment, even
though he saw first-hand what happened in the stairwell of the hotel.
But now that he no longer works for the
hotel, he has this to say: Collier County sheriff's deputies went way too
far.
"It was extreme police brutality," said
Cannivet, who was the assistant manager of stewarding until leaving that
job in January. "The whole time all this was going down, I'm thinking,
'God, what did these people do? It must have been something really bad.'
It just bothered me." [see full story for more]- Click

Records |
press release reports: Ex-Korn founder Brian
"Head" Welch and Stephen Baldwin have partnered to form LIVIN IT RECORDS.
"Head" currently is working on his first solo record which will be released
through LIVIN IT RECORDS.
Baldwin, known as of late for his extreme
sports ministry LIVIN IT - a skateboarding, BMX, motor cross outreach to
the youth - is currently touring the US, and is a division of Palaufest
Productions (www.palau.org). He has recently seen overwhelming success
with his LIVIN IT DVD which has moved over 80,000 units in the first twelve
months of its distribution (www.livinit.org .) As a result, Baldwin and
Welch believe that this brand of ministry is sure to quickly become the
forerunner of a new edgier way to impact today's youth. With that belief,
they have joined forces to keep up the momentum of this movement in a non-traditional
way. [see full story for more]- Click

Darkness
Vs Brits |

that THE DARKNESS frontman Justin Hawkins is peeved about not being nominated
at this year's prestigious Brit Awards, even though it took place in February.

this year, which was eventually won by MUSE.

premise of the Jack Black starrer School of Rock to the small screen.
RDF just wrapped production on the skeinskein

Motley
Denial |
BW&BK reports: When you call a headlining
world tour Red, White & Crue: Better Live Than Dead, you're asking
for trouble, but so far things have gone smoothly for Motley Crue on the
band's first headlining tour in six years with its classic original line-up-Nikki
Sixx, Vince Neil, Mick Mars and Tommy Lee.
All that changed after the Winnipeg show
as the band attempted to cross the Canadian-U.S. border for today's show
in Grand Forks, ND, at the Alerus Center. Mighty Mike, the band's resident
"little person," emcee and fire-breather was detained by authorities. The
band was forced to enter the U.S. without Mike, who was being transported
to Edmonton, where he was expected to remain for up to seven days before
being allowed to return to the tour.[see full story for more]-
