According to CBS LA, Knight arrived at a film shoot for Straight Outta Compton featuring Ice Cube and Dr. Dre in Compton, California, yesterday afternoon when he reportedly was asked to leave. Knight then allegedly started fighting with two men, believed to be security guards, on the set before getting into his car and backing up, killing one man and injuring two others. The victim has been identified as Terry Carter, a friend of Knight's who reportedly was trying to enter the passenger side of the vehicle when Knight backed up. Read more here.
The unexpected collaboration came to light thanks to former Daughtry drummer Robin Diaz, who posted pics of Payne and Tomlinson in the studio with Kroeger to his Instagram page. Diaz, who was also part of the session, called Tomlinson and Payne "probably the best singers I've worked with," adding that "Chad just taught them how to play drums. No lie!!!" Read more here.

The Brooklyn 20-year-old was indicted alongside 14 members of his GS9 squad on 69 charges, including drug distribution, second degree murder, and conspiracy to commit murder. Some believed Perry thought the same thing, considering shortly after that news broke she tweeted some Mean Girls wisdom: "Watch out for the Regina George in sheep's clothing." But, do her and Swift actually have bad blood? Perry had kept mum about the tweet until now. In an interview with Billboard, she decided to address that tweet, but in a way that still has us wondering. For her answer Perry kept things very professional, choosing not to talk Taylor but simply say, "If somebody is trying to defame my character, you're going to hear about it." Read more here.
"This wasn't luck, this was destiny," he spits before making it clear, "this ain't what I want man, this what it had to be." Drake then sets things straight with the chorus letting us know, he isn't here for a long time, he's here for a good time. He also hasn't had a good time in a long time, but he feels blessed. "I can't see heaven being much better then this," Drake raps, shouting his OVO boys and his mom, who he hopes will start worrying less. Kanye is talking about how big he is, and he's not talking celebrity status here. Instead he's talking about letting everyone know on Snapchat what he's working with. In a video uploaded last week (Jan. 29), Moore confronts Bentley. "It's no secret. I had no idea about the prank. I'm a pansy when it comes to cold water and I hated every last bit of that s-t," he says in the video. "So, we all know that Dierks Bentley loves Big White, his old Chevy truck that he's been driving for years. I've decided to play a prank on Dierks to teach him not to mess with me for the rest of this tour because I'll take the prank further." Moore's friends took to Big White while he was away on tour and promised Bentley that he'll have "a big surprise" in the back of Big White and it won't be pretty. Watch the prank unfold here.

This begins the voiceover of the new trailer for Ted 2, the sequel to Ted, the lewd and crude Seth MacFarlane film about, yes, a talking teddy bear. The plot this time around? They want to have a baby. Which isn't so easy when one of the parties is a stuffed animal, talking or otherwise. You can see where this is going (if notask your mother). Ted 2 again features MacFarlane as the voice of Ted the talking bear, and Mark Wahlberg is back as well. Other participants in the film include Amanda Seyfried, Morgan Freeman, Dennis Haysbert and Liam Neeson. The film is scheduled for release June 26. Watch the trailer here.
When Azalea saw the results of their work on Madden's Tumblr page on Thursday (Jan. 29), she became furious, claiming that the designer added a series of pictures that weren't in line with her vision. '@SteveMadden kinda ruined the creative direction when u added those gross extra pictures to a random tumbler page I had no part in creating," she tweeted. 'Everything in a collaboration is supposed to be mutually approved. But Steve madden did the most disgusting photo shoot ever and never even told me about it," she added. 'I'm just now seeing it as its uploaded on some random tumblr page and i am lividGross gross gross." It seems that in addition to the photos of her wearing high-heeled blue strap shoes, Madden added a separate photo shoot with a different model wearing socks and sandals. In a follow up Instagram post, Iggy made sure to clarify that she's not upset with Steve Madden the designer, just that one specific shoot. Read more here.
Considering how far off on the sonic spectrum he is from those two female artists--and the challenges emulating each of their voices presents--Hozier came up with a solid take. He hit Grande's high notes, even the you-oo-oos, and, wisely, he didn't try to replicate Iggy's verse. On the other hand, the least surprising thing about his take has to be how good the song sounds when filled out by a live band. Of course, if you're ever going to take a risk, you may as well do it while you're on top. Hozier is currently riding high off his Grammy nomination for song of the year with "Take Me to the Church," off his 2014 From Eden EP. Check it out here.
Why wouldn't the Beach Boy co-founder include contributions from such beloved artists? Apparently Frank and Lana's schedules were too hectic to put the final touches on their guest spots. "[Brian] really loved his voice," a representative for Wilson told Pitchfork of Ocean. "Maybe another time." On the topic of Lana, the representative said, "It was a timing thing as well, he wanted her to come back in to do more work but scheduling didn't allow." The throwback chanteuse had appeared on a track called "The Last Song" but now Wilson is the only artist who appears on it. Ocean meanwhile had planned to be on "Our Special Love" but he's since been replaced by Peter Hollens. Read more here.
The good news? It's amazing. The bad news, for fans of the Game of Thrones book series, is that the next installment, which we expect will also be awesome, won't be out anytime soon. i09 reports that HarperCollins has confirmed that the sixth book in George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series will not be published in 2015. But let's go back to the positive side: The trailer features a new cover of David Bowie's "Heroes" by TV on the Radio (according to Gigwise), so there's that. So what can we expect from the new season? Well, judging by the first thing we hear--"Nothing's more hateful than failing to protect the one you love"--as we see Jamie and Cersei Lannister, we can expect a bit of awkwardness (also hateful? Incest!). But there is the matter that their father Tywin was impaled whilst on the iron bowl (not to be confused with the Iron Throne) at the end of last season, killed by their brother Tyrion, who Jamie loves and Cersei hates (she later says, "That little monster is out there, somewhere, drawing breath!"). Littlefinger then tells Sansa Stark (who he's been hitting on, even though he had been in love with her late mom, also awkward) "Avenge them." So maybe she's about to put some hurt on House Frey, a few seasons after the infamous Red Wedding destroyed her world and blew our minds. More awkwardness: it looks like Margarey Tyrell will be marrying Tommen Lannister, younger brother of Joffrey, who, you'll recall died at the wedding when she tried to marry him. But we're looking forward to see who gets married next! Probably not Tyrion, who killed his ex-girlfriend last season (after she slept with his dad), and who we see falling out of a box looking rather unkempt. And probably not "You Know Nothing" Jon Snow who we see in battle. Is Daenerys Targaryen getting even closer to sitting on the Iron Throne? It looks that way; Varys says, "The Seven Kingdoms needs a ruler loved by millions with a powerful army and the right family name." Tyrion responds, "Good luck finding him." Watch the trailer here.
Also up there is Billy Joel's "Piano Man," which was evoked by Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon when we showed up to party at Marie's Crisis Cafe, a gay bar in New York City's West Village. Video has surfaced of a toasty Fallon leading the bar in an acapella rendition of the Joel classic, and also singing tunes such as the Grease favorite "Summer Nights." Doesn't Fallon know it is wintertime? Watch the video here.
One thing we do now have is a music video for the lead track. Last year, Currington told The Boot "the sound really guides the direction of the new project." For visuals, we get Currington performing the song live with his band, and getting a little touchy/feely with a lovely young lady. Currington's next album will be the follow-up to 2013's We Are Tonight, which peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard 200, and No. 5 on the Billboard Country Albums chart. It yielded two singles, including the top five hit "Hey Girl" and a No. 12 song in "We Are Tonight." Watch the new video here.
