Considering how far off on the sonic spectrum he is from those two female artists--and the challenges emulating each of their voices presents--Hozier came up with a solid take. He hit Grande's high notes, even the you-oo-oos, and, wisely, he didn't try to replicate Iggy's verse.

On the other hand, the least surprising thing about his take has to be how good the song sounds when filled out by a live band. Of course, if you're ever going to take a risk, you may as well do it while you're on top.
