![]() Over the last few weeks of 05 we will be posting our writers' picks for the best of 2005. Each day we posted a new Top 5 list from one of our writers. Now at the conclusion we are please to present the master list comprised of the top picks from all of our writer submissions. Joannie Foney's Top 5 of 05. 5. Sinai Beach - Immersed :
showing me for the first time ever that "Christian metal" is no longer
a funny oxymoron.
4. (Hmmm, eeenie, meenie, miney
moe...In Arcadia, Jacknife or Razorwire?) : I like these releases too
much not to mention them, can't decide which to leave off the list. Yes,
this has been an excellent year for metal.
3. Anthrax - No Hit Wonders:
any year that an Anthrax album comes out is a good year indeed, especially
this one, featuring all the songs of my wasted youth.
2. Meshuggah - 33 1/3:
typical Mesh quality release, nothing to disappoint on here, which is quite
possibly the understatement of '05 as well.
1. Scars of Tomorrow - Horror
Of Realization : excellent, excellent stuff. This is a talented band
worth seeking out & supporting.
