Unearth captivates metal enthusiasts worldwide with the release of their electrifying new digital EP, Bask In The Blood Of Our Demons. Featuring a potent mix of unreleased tracks and blistering live performances, this EP showcases UNEARTH's signature blend of ferocious instrumentation and thought-provoking lyricism. Included are two brand-new deep cuts from the recording process of The Wretched; The Ruinous, "Sea of the Lost" and "Warrior Souls," with "Warrior Souls," in particular, continuing the narrative explored in the album.

"It's a pit starter from the opening seconds and is heavy and uncompromising throughout," explains the band. " Lyrically it imagines a desolate time when future generations take vengeance on their living predecessors for not doing more to save our environment from becoming uninhabitable and our species being on the brink of extinction. The more unlivable our world becomes, the fewer political, religious and cultural divides will exist. There will be only two missions remaining for the human race; survival and retribution." As the calendar turned to 1974, Frank Zappa was riding high. His revised rethink of The Mothers collective had begat the stone-cold classic known as September 1973's Over-Nite Sensation, the album generally acknowledged by both the cognoscenti and the layman as the gateway listening experience that invited the world writ large into the ever-expanding Zappaverse. Over-Nite Sensation also served as a direct bridge to Zappa's follow-up solo release, March 1974's Apostrophe (').

In turn, Apostrophe (') also became Zappa's most successful venture to date-strictly commercially speaking, that is. Apostrophe (') was Zappa's first Gold-selling record in the United States, ultimately peaking at #10 on the Billboard 200 chart. The forever prescient and perpetually catchy single "Don't Eat The Yellow Snow" made its own splash on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, duly marking its territory at #87. Key apostrophe (') favorites-such as the seething indictment of flim-flam gurus and phony psychics in "Cosmik Debris," the ongoing exploration of racial inequality in "Uncle Remus," and the examination of the unending olfactory horrors of "Stink-Foot"-further solidified Zappa's hold on the public consciousness and subconsciousness alike. A half-century on Apostrophe (') remains a consistent go-to release in the extensive Zappa catalog, not to mention being one of its top-tier bestsellers. (continue)

Canadian pop-rock band Marianas Trench, is excited to share their brand new single "I'm Not Getting Better", out now via 604 Records / Warner Music Canada. "I'm Not Getting Better" comes on the heels of the undeniably catchy "Lightning and Thunder" and "A Normal Life," a track about knowing you were meant for something more. "A Normal Life" was the band's first new studio release since their acclaimed 2019 album, Phantoms. All three new tracks will appear on the band's highly-anticipated forthcoming album, which is slated to be released later this summer. (continue)

Telling Secrets recently release their new noir video for their single "Case Closed" from their debut album "Telling Secrets I", and to celebrate we asked frontman Vik Kovacs to tell us about the song. Here is the story:

"Case Closed" was the last song I wrote on the album and I specifically wrote it with the visuals in mind. I am a huge fan of both Humphrey Bogart and Batman, who is a detective(!). I wanted to create a police detective / gangster story based in the 1940s for the music video, especially as The Bat-Man First Knight comic book series came out earlier this year which is set in 1939 and made for some great inspiration.
