(hennemusic) Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band have announced rescheduled Canadian tour dates following a recent postponement of their 2023 live series. The New Jersey rocker is being treated for peptic ulcer disease and he plans on resuming the tour next spring.

"Thanks to all my friends and fans for your good wishes, encouragement, and support," says Springsteen. "I'm on the mend and can't wait to see you all next year." (continue)

(hennemusic) Whitesnake is streaming a video for the 2023 remix of its cover of the Deep Purple classic, "Stormbringer", as featured on the newly-available release of an expanded Special Gold Edition of "The Purple Album."

The 2015 project saw David Coverdale re-record versions of classic tracks from the three albums he appeared on during his three-year tenure with Deep Purple: 1974's "Burn" and "Stormbringer", and 1975's "Come Taste The Band." (continue)

A quasi-psychedelic visualizer for the newly remastered track "Dumb" from the upcoming 30th anniversary reissue of Nirvana's In Utero is now streaming online. Directed and created by RuffMercy from hand-painted Super-8mm film.

Also available is the digital single "Pennyroyal Tea" (Live in Los Angeles)" + "Scentless Apprentice" (Live in Seattle)" - Released September 29, these live renditions of In Utero classics are the first of 53 previously unreleased tracks included in the three Super Deluxe editions of the In Utero 30th anniversary multi-format reissues arriving on October 27, 2023. Orgy have released a new collaborate single with Joey Scream entitled "Ghost". This collaboration was built from a track created by John Sustar of Star Precision Music, Ralf Dietel of KRASHKARMA, Joey Scream, Carlton Bost, and Jay Gordon. The band was ahead of the curve fusing many music styles, and we feel this release will bring an active rock track to the catalog.

Jay Gordon had this to say, "Ghost is one of my fav Orgy songs of all time. It's aggressive and heavy AF. Our homie John Sustar (who also wrote songs with MIW for their coveted 2019 "Disguise" release) co-wrote the track. Ralf Dietel did some writing as well and did the majority of the vocal production. Along with Stewart, who is also a successful music and television producer, and all-around creative force, The Time Experience Project is made up of writers, actors, filmmakers, composers and performers.

The Cranberries' monumental third album To The Faithful Departed is reissued as a deluxe edition on vinyl and CD via Island/UMe. Originally released on April 30, 1996, the album yielded four singles including the U.S. Number One Modern Rock single "Salvation." In this deluxe reissue, the original album has been remastered by John Davis at Metropolis. Available in its original configuration as 1LP, an expanded 2LP set, and a 3CD set (whose tracklisting the digital version mirrors), To The Faithful Departed deluxe editions contain an abundance of bonus tracks and material. The 2LP and 3CD configurations include three previously unreleased album demos recorded with Tim Palmer in Paris. The sleeve notes by Eoin Devereux includes contributions from the remaining band members as well as archived material which includes interviews with Dolores.

Selling over six million copies worldwide and reaching Number One in six countries, it became the band's highest-charting album on the U.S. Billboard Top 200. Tom Paxton and I have a standing Monday 2PM Zoom call, intended to be a songwriting confab. It never starts out like that. I recently turned 71 and Tom is pushing 86. I've learned that the polite query "How ya doing?" begins a much longer conversation these days than it used to be. No different with someone you see every week. It usually morphs into news about old friends, rants about the day's events and, eventually, lots of talk about sports....'cause we're both guys. (continue)
