Beloved "Margaritaville" and "Cheeseburger In Paradise" hit maker Jimmy Buffett passed away on Friday, September 1st and a number of celebrities took to social media to pay tribute. He was 76.

The sad news was broken to fans via Buffett's official website with the following statement, "Jimmy passed away peacefully on the night of September 1st surrounded by his family, friends, music and dogs. He lived his life like a song till the very last breath and will be missed beyond measure by so many." (continue)

Metallica's foundation, All Within My Hands (AWMH), and Enlightened have partnered in the fight against hunger with the release of their limited edition, guitar-shaped ice cream bar. The campaign will launch nationally on September 6th, 2023.

Inspired by the legendary ESP Truckster, once available as part of the James Hetfield Signature Series line, Enlightened and All Within My Hands collaborated with ESP Guitars to resurrect the design, bringing authenticity to the first-ever guitar-shaped ice cream bar! This creation of rich dark chocolate and creamy vanilla ice cream brings together the love of music, delicious treats, and giving back. Red Reign have released a music video for their new song "Here I Am", which is the second single from their forthcoming album "Don't Look Back" that will arrive on October 27th.

Chipster shared, Richmond, VA-based rockers Red Reign take 80's influences and steer them in a more contemporary direction - bridging the sounds of yesterday and today. The band is comprised of members singer/guitarist Carlton "Bubba" McMichael, guitarist Stevie Shred, bassist Larry Moore, and drummer Sammy Lee. Red Reign has worked with Grammy Award-nominated multi-platinum producer David Ivory (Halestorm) on both its releases: 2021's self-titled EP and 2023's forthcoming full-length Don't Look Back. There are certain albums in the extensive Neil Young Archives that take on a unique life of their own. Maybe it's their rarity, or a galvanizing reputation that sets them apart. One of the most anticipated releases in this ongoing musical march is the live collection ODEON BUDOKAN, recorded with Crazy Horse, available now on vinyl via Reprise Records, Neil Young's home label for over 50 years.

Originally recorded in 1976 almost a world apart at two overseas venues: Hammersmith Odeon in London and Nippon Budokan Hall in Tokyo. The ten-track album includes an electrifying range of songs, from well-known classics to true surprises. Tracks on Side 1 were recorded in London March 31, 1976, and feature Neil Young's solo set on guitar and piano from the first half of the concert. Side 2 tracks were recorded two weeks earlier on March 11, 1976, with Young and Crazy Horse at an early electric apex. (continue)

The follow-up to the Georgia band's 1990 debut, "Shake Your Money Maker", delivered their first No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 with instant classics like "Remedy", "Sting Me", "Thorn In My Pride" and "Hotel Illness."

Due December 1, the 2023 series will feature Super Deluxe 4LP and 3CD box sets that present a remastered version of the original album alongside a collection of 14 unreleased recordings, including 2 studio recordings, a live concert from February 1993, and the never-heard-before live in-studio performance recorded at the end of The Southern Harmony session along with b-sides; also included is a reproduction of the original 132-page promotional hymn book featuring insights on the record and band's state of mind from both Chris and Rich Robinson and sheet music for the 9 Chris and Rich compositions; along with the box there are 4 12"x12" lithographs of images from The Southern Harmony photo shoots.
