(hennemusic) Singer Ian Astbury and guitarist Billy Duffy of The Cult have announced that they will revisit their origins as Death Cult on a newly-announced 40th anniversary fall tour.

Originally a member of the UK band Southern Death Cult that formed in 1981, Astbury and the group released a single in 1982 and toured before the rocker disbanded the outfit in 1983. (continue)

Royal Hunt have premiered the music video for their song "Thorn In My Heart", which is a track from their new concept album "DYSTOPIA, PT. 2".

Andre Andersen had this to say, "The working title for this track was 'Betrayal' and if you're familiar with the book 'Fahrenheit 451' than you probably know the part in which the main character got home and discovers that he's been betrayed by the very person he considered to be his only family. Sixties Hitmaker Tommy Roe Releases New Album "Here To Here". American Singer/Songwriter Tommy Roe had several top hits in the 60's and 70's starting in 1962 with "Sheila." That same year Tommy headlined a British Tour with Chris Montez - their warmup band was called, The Beatles! After that tour other hits followed, "Everybody" (1963) "The Folk Singer" (1964), "Sweet Pea" (1966) "Hooray for Hazel" (1966), Worldwide #1 "Dizzy" (number #1 hit worldwide!) (1969)", "Jam Up and Jelly Tight" (1970). Tommy also wrote other hits for other artists.

He continued to write throughout the 70's, 80's, 90's and 2000's. Many times with songwriting partners Mac Davis and Freddy Weller of Paul Revere and The Raiders fame. Tommy's catalog continues to be recorded by artists worldwide. (continue)

Bad Wolves founding guitarist Max Karon took to social media recently to announce that he will no longer be a touring a member of the group. He reunited with the band last year following the departure on Chris Cain.

Karon broke the news to fans via Instagram. He shared, "I have decided to step down as a touring member of Bad Wolves. I am still on board as a songwriter. I made this decision by myself and for myself after a *great deal* of soul searching and self reflection. (continue)

Heaven Shall Burn have just dropped a video for their classic cover version of Blind Guardian's "Valhalla" to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of their milestone album, VETO. The video was directed by their longtime partner, Philipp Hirsch and guitarist Alexander Dietz, and features a very special guest.

Guitarist Maik Weichert comments: "We always regretted never making a video for our version of 'Valhalla'. Now for the 10th anniversary of our album VETO we have finally done it and I think the result is impressive. We are particularly proud of our guest in the video, we just had to put him on a throne, because that's where he and his band belong!" (continue)
