The latest reincarnation of Rammstein's legendary "Du Hast" roars to the forefront as one of the premiere singles from upcoming full-length feature, A Tribute to Rammstein, available worldwide on August 25th. This screaming single is born out of the electrifying alliance between former Fear Factory front man, Burton C. Bell, Killing Joke drummer, Big Paul Ferguson, and legendary goth-industrial guitarist, Mark Gemini Thwaite (MGT), who has worked with The Mission, Gary Numan, and Peter Murphy.
"Du Hast" was released in 1997 as the second single from Rammstein's sophomore album, Sehnsucht (Desire), and served as a catalyst for their breakthrough into the Western mainstream. "Du Hast" thrust the German industrial giants into the spotlight after its appearance on the soundtrack for cinematic cyberpunk classic, The Matrix (1999), following the inclusion of two songs from their debut album, Herzeleid (Heartbreak) on David Lynch's Lost Highway (1997). After an astounding 45-year music career that began as the bassist for John Lydon's post-Sex Pistols band, Public Image Ltd., earning immense praise for his trailblazing musicianship, through his solo career and collaborations with the likes of Can's Holger Czukay and U2's The Edge, not to mention his later work with Brian Eno, Ministry's Chris Connelly and Killing Joke's Geordie Walker, one would think that Jah Wobble would have said all he had to say. Turns out, he was just getting started.
Today, Wobble announces a brand-new solo album, A Brief History Of Now, that finds the eclectic troubadour returning to the post-punk genre that Wobble had a key role in developing both in his brief tenure in PiL and after. Co-written, produced and performed with another post-punk hero, Jon Klein of Siouxsie & The Banshees and Specimen, A Brief History Of Now packs a powerful punch both musically and lyrically as these two veterans deliver an energetic and innovative collection of musical treatises. It won instant support across BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 2 and Absolute Radio, bringing with it what lead singer and guitarist Tim Wheeler described as "the sound of the band reveling in the sheer joy of being a band after being separated by time and distance through the insanity of the early 2020s." Bay Area quartet Oxbow have released "Lovely Murk (ft. Lingua Ignota)" and a companion video in advance of Friday's release of Love's Holiday (Ipecac Recordings).
About the video and track, Niko Wenner says: "I started 'Lovely Murk' in late 2011 imagining the perspective of my mother then dying from Alzheimer's, and what it would feel like to lose everything, even one's self. So personal, I kept the song for myself; she died in early 2012. But soon Lisa Meyer at Supersonic Festival in Birmingham, England asked us to play, encouraging me to orchestrate a version for an OXBOW Orchestra performance. And eventually I was ready to record the song for our new OXBOW album Love's Holiday, with new lyrics. I asked Kristin Hayter to create a Lingua Ignota choir using my melody from 2011, she also added voice over the bridge, altogether creating a stunning and essential addition. A long journey for what for me is a beautiful, powerful song, made with love." (continue)

"We were not sure what to expect," shared Kevin Zink (owner of Flint, MI's staple music venue Machine Shop). "We don't normally do storyteller type shows but every person in attendance was engaged for the whole two and a half hours and left having the best time. Acclaimed Annapolis, Maryland-based trio Pressing Strings just released their new album, "... And I For You". To celebrate, we asked Jordan Sokel to tell us about the single "Your Love". Here is the story:
"Your Love" began as a guitar riff that I had kept in the back of my mind for like a decade. I thought it was simple and vibey, almost like a hip hop sample from Jurassic 5 or something. And one late hazy night, I started writing a vocal melody to it which later became the chorus. (continue)
