The Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame snubbed metal legends Iron Maiden for the second time this year, and frontman Bruce Dickinson once again reiterated that he does not want to be inducted into the controversial institution.

Artists are eligible for induction 25 years after their first release, so Iron Maiden, who continue to sell-out arenas and stadiums today, 43-years after the release of their self-titled debut album, have been eligible for almost two decades and have only been nominated twice, but have been passed over in favor of artists outside of rock.

Dickinson told The Telegraph, "I don't want to be in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame because we're not dead yet." (continue)

At the same time, the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame drummer also appreciates the appeal of connecting to fans one-on-one in intimate venues.

"For me, the biggest thrills come in rocking out live and feeding off the energy of the fans," says Adler, who Rolling Stone named one of the 100 Greatest Drummers of All Time. "Whether it's the largest concert hall in the world, or someplace small and low key - the important thing is delivering the audience a show they will love." (continue)

The 45th anniversary of Foreigner's "Double Vision" album is being celebrated by the syndicated radio show In The Studio With Redbeard: The Stories Behind History's Greatest Rock Bands.

Redbeard had this to say, "As we discuss the forty-fifth anniversary of their blockbuster second album Double Vision, one of the most endearing things about Foreigner founder and guiding heart, Mick Jones, is that he has never been coy or clever in trying to hide his inspirations, or aspirations, for the band. Case in point is the song 'Blue Morning, Blue Day' from the Summer 1978 second Foreigner album, Double Vision. 'That was a little Procol Harum coming out in me, the period with the big orchestra and 'Conquistador',' Jones confessed.' It was that mood. I felt very strongly that it was an inspiration in that song. And I was starting to experiment, I was getting clever (composing) on the piano! (chuckles)'. (read more)

The new metal supergroup Withering Scorn are gearing up to release their debut album, "Prophets Of Demise" early next month, to celebrate we asked Shawn Drover (Megadeth/Eldolon) to tell us about "Dark Reflections". Here is the story:

The lyrics for "Dark Reflections" unfortunately is a reality based, though most of my lyrics are fictional/horror based ( I am a total horror movie freak, and it ties in to my music quite nicely) the drug epidemic is getting worse and worse each year it seems and now with Fentanyl, which can be laced in basically anything now, the overdose death rate is just unreal and the potential to get off drugs with Fentanyl being extremely addictive seems to be at an all time low BUT there still are success stories of course and this song is about 1 of these stories, thankfully.
