"The crashing....the cresting waves, the falling through of all that surrounds you. Life sometimes tosses us around, and we feel the want of comfort and the pull of home. A ship tossed like a toy through the Cape, sails ripped and the wood groaning with the scraping of its ballast....a soul trying with all its might to find peace and a center. Find a lighthouse. I have my lighthouse....its beacon swirling in the darkness with her warmth and promise of nurture, love, laughter, and all that is true. Won't you be my lighthouse, give me light,...and bring me home." - Duff (continue)

Knocked Loose strike again with their visionary new Upon Loss singles - "Deep in the Willow" / "Everything is Quiet Now" - which are streaming now alongside its video directed by Eric Richter and front man/vocalist Bryan Garris.
"'Deep in the Willow' and 'Everything is Quiet Now' are a reminder that we are heavy, intense, and extreme," Garris tells. "Some elements come and go, but those will never change. After 'A Tear in the Fabric of Life' we were inspired to see how much art we could incorporate moving forward - which led us to a style of video we've never attempted or approached. Taking myself specifically far outside of my comfort zone and pushing the boundaries on how I've been seen in the past was a creative experience I will never forget. This video wouldn't be what it is without the collaboration with Eric Richter, someone we've admired for a while. And the songs wouldn't be what they are without [producer] Drew Fulk, a new friend and creative ear in the entire process." (continue)
Alternative three piece The Xcerts today announce their new album track "BLAME", taken from their upcoming album LEARNING HOW TO LIVE AND LET GO out August 18th via UNFD. The song arrives alongside the band's self directed one-shot, one-take live vocal video.
"Blame", the newest cut from the forthcoming full length, recalls the pop earworms, poetic lyrical turns and "band in a room' passion that has made The XCERTS so universally loved. A fizzing slap of anxiety and confessional self-loathing set to a soundtrack of driving guitars and urgent melody, "Blame" was born out of the band's self-described "3 piece chemistry" in their rehearsal room, and stands out as the only non-studio penned song on the album. Halocene just released their new EP "Maleficent". To celebrate we asked them to tell us about their cover of the Nine Inch Nails classic "Closer". Here is the story:
We came up with the idea of covering "Closer" by Nine Inch Nails back in April of 2022. We knew we wanted to make it heavier and include our friend Lauren Babic, but we wanted a third girl and wanted to wait until we could film a full music video for it. I had the demo done for nearly a year while we searched for the right person, and finally we met Kayla King. (continue)
In celebration of the release of their new EP 'That Was Then, This Is Now', Envy of None have revealed a beautiful and striking new video. Recalling the idea of retro Pop Art genius Roy Lichtenstein seen through the lens of a psychedelic graphic novel in the beautiful clip's vibrant and stylistic imagery.
Created by Olivier Boscovitch, who has previously worked with David Guetta, the artist was handpicked by Andy Curran, to create a video that was inspired by Maiah Wynne's lyrics representing both a metaphorical and literal chase. (continue)

Fender Musical Instruments Corporation (FMIC) announces the launch of My Bloody Valentine frontman, Kevin Shield's, signature pedal, the Limited Edition Fender Shields Blender - Fender's first-ever signature fuzz pedal. Kevin Shields' groundbreaking sound and his legendary pedalboard configurations have left an indelible mark on the music industry. Now, four decades after My Bloody Valentine's formation, Kevin Shields' iconic sound has been captured in a new wild-but-versatile multi-fuzz octave effect.
An innovator and pivotal influence on effect-laden guitar tones, Shields awakened iconic sonic walls of fuzz like the world had never heard as he defined the tone of alternative rock in the '80s and '90s inspiring the 'shoegaze' genre and beyond. His tool of choice for fuzz laden chaos: an original Fender Blender effect pedal, prized for its dynamic response and gripping fuzz splatter.
