Greta Van Fleet appeared on Audacy Check In to discuss their forthcoming third studio album, "Starcatcher" (due July 21st), and the show sent over an excerpt where they discuss their reaction to meeting music legends like Metallica and Bob Segar.
Jake Kiszka said, "Titans of metal, you know. Giants walking the earth... There's definitely nerves involved, especially when you're backstage with these guys. And then they come up, and as soon as they break the ice, it's amazing because they're just the most genuine, kind guys ever. And then you just talking about music, and it's like we've known each other for forever." (continue)

Learning the importance of not taking sh*t from anybody and letting that inner fire roar! It is also about finding solace in the meaningful connections you have with your sisterhood, rather than giving all your energy to toxic romantic partners. Following the fantastic feedback for the first solo album by Fates Warning vocalist Ray Alder "What The Water Wants" back in 2019, InsideOutMusic are pleased to announce the upcoming worldwide release of the follow-up effort "II" on June 9th, 2023.
Once again, just like for the "What The Water Wants" debut, the new album was written with guitarists Mike Abdow (Fates Warning touring member) and Tony Hernando (Lords Of Black) - who both also performed bass guitar on their own songs -, features drummer Craig Anderson (Ignite, Crescent Shield) and was mixed by Simone Mularoni (Rhapsody, Michael Romeo, DGM). Ray Alder's second album is simply entitled "II", but in musical terms this is a much more revealing, exploratory piece of work than its predecessor. (continue)

Southern roots rockers Robert Jon & The Wreck have released an extended live version of "Hey Hey Mama," a fan favorite that will be featured on their first ever live DVD Live At The Ancienne Belgique, out 4/21 via Joe Bonamassa's Journeyman Records.
"Hey Hey Mama" was initially on the Good Life Pie (2016) album, which featured Kris Butcher on guitar and Dave Pelusi on bass," recalls frontman Robert Jon Burrison. "It's always been a common selection in the live set, featuring vocal harmonies in the chorus and tons of space for trading and improvising licks. With the addition of Henry and Warren in 2017, the song evolved and took on a new life. This live version features a fuzzy guitar solo as the intro and an extended, psychedelia-influenced outro jam.
