The International Business Times reports the February 8 Grammys appearance falls two days prior to Rudd's return to a New Zealand court to face multiple charges stemming from his November 6 arrest.
Part of Rudd's bail conditions is to reside in his Tauranga home, which may make it difficult for the drummer to leave the country for the event in Los Angeles.
The day the situation made headlines around the world, AC/DC released a statement saying, "We've only become aware of Phil's arrest as the news was breaking. We have no further comment. Phil's absence will not affect the release of our new album Rock or Bust and upcoming tour next year." Read more

Williams has applied for planning permission to revamp the house - both inside and out - to create a "contemporary standard of family living." Page has written the borough in a bid to stop the renovations.
"I am extremely concerned that this work will cause vibrations and possible structural damage with my house," writes Page. "It appears the proposed new window is at a height that will overlook the side of my house as well as the garden at the rear of my property, thus having a significant impact on the amenity of the house and its garden."

Tool report on their Facebook page: "Starting the new year off on a positive note, Adam arrives at the Loft with an ending for an arrangement, and gets the nod of approval by the others. As long as they don't start with the ending, that's good news!" Read more

Fans have been hoping for a reunion since Stewart and Wood discussed a songwriting session in 2008. Two years later Wood, McLagan and Jones brought in Simply Red's Mick Hucknall to front the band. Aerosmith guitarist Perry recalls the band backing out of a plan to hire the same aircraft a week before the crash and says he counts himself incredibly lucky.
Perry tells Crave Online: "It was a terrible tragedy, and we just considered ourselves incredibly lucky. People were flying on all these different planes, and it was very common to be on a plane Fleetwood Mac had been on the week before.
"We've always felt there was somebody watching over us, and this was another example of that. People were put in our lives that helped bail us out for one reason or another. Fortunately we had someone looking at the plane that we would be taking, and he put his foot down.
"To be that close to it... it was really a blow, up and down the line. From knowing those guys, to the loss of music and beyond." Read more

A concert with his band Thrown Into Exile had to be postponed after his vehicle was left on its roof. The driver who hit him, thought to have been drunk, left the scene on foot.
Bonner tells Blabbermouth: "The impact of the crash propelled me into three lanes of oncoming traffic. It's no small miracle that I'm still alive. Hell - I crawled back into the wreckage to retrieve my lyric book. How f***ing metal is that?" Read more

But Muir has countered with a denial that he and former guitarist Ronnie Kayfield were trying to "cash in" on the band's reputation. A post on Way's Facebook page reports that Muir has been "stopped by EMI from releasing bootleg Waysted live recordings" and adds: "He has been most unpleasant to me and I only knew what was going on behind my back when a chum called to tell me Fin and Ron Kayfield had asked him to play bass on a Waysted tour, and 'don't tell Pete.'
"I was devastated that they would be so Machiavellian and sly to try to deceive me like that and try to go out on tour fabricating the fact that I would be appearing. I feel this defamation is extremely spiteful."
Muir responds via the Waysted Facebook page by saying the post was written by Way's manager, Jenny Stanley-Clarke. He continues: "She slagged Ron off on here because he deemed to post live recordings of Waysted from the Dio/Ozzy tours 83/84". Read more

But while most festivals trying to be all things to all people, upstate New York's Mountain Jam still caters towards the hippie contingent; although the lineup isn't strictly jam-bands, it has a very jam-band-approved vibe to it: the headliners are the Black Keys, Robert Plant and the Alabama Shakes.
Also on the bill are some staples of the jam scene though: Gov't Mule, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, moe., Railroad Earth, Rusted Root, the Wailers, and

The singer has been working towards retirement for several years, but the acclaim surrounding his 2013 release A Feast Of Consequences has led to offers of live work he doesn't want to refuse.
And he wants to take the time to ensure that, when he goes, he's left a body of work as high in quality as it can be. Writing sessions for his final record will take place during the coming months, recorded early next year and released before the summer, leading to another European tour before a farewell season throughout 2017.
The former Marillion frontman reflects: "I feel comfortable with the scheduling - it gives me the time to prepare for the next important steps in my life. It means I will be retiring from the music business just before my 60th birthday, which I think is a pretty good time to ring the changes.
"I know there will be some of you who perhaps disagree with this ambition, and many who will be disappointed. But a man has to have a plan, and this is mine as I stare into a future which holds a lot of promise and new adventures."

But the thrash giants, who are currently tracking the follow-up to 2011's Worship Music, made sure the lyrics were based on the award-winning TV show.
Guitarist Scott Ian tells Kaaos: "We didn't have time to start writing something from scratch. We listened to the material we had, and we all thought the same thing - this one demo just sounded like it should be the song for Game Of Thrones.
"They said, 'You have to pick something about the show to write about.' I'm not going to give it away now, but I got to write exactly what I wanted, so I was very happy about that."
He and bandmates Charlie Benante and Frank Bello are big fans of the series, and even tried to arrange a recording session on the Westeros throne room set. Ian says: "A lot of times you get calls for things and it's like, 'Nah, just say no.' But this, we were all very excited about." Read more

Johnson tells MetalTalk: "It's pretty special to be in a band with someone who writes as prolifically as Ricky does. The riffs on this album are very powerful and I think a lot of that is in the simplicity of them.
"Sometimes it's better to have a guy that isn't necessarily so technically proficient. Anything that he plays comes from emotion and more times than not, well keep the simplicity of his riff and then take it to a different place."
Warwick and Johnson discuss some of the tracks on the record, with Warwick explaining the story behind the song Soldierstown. Read that

The 27-song set at the Metro Radio Arena featured Queen classics from every era of the band's extensive catalogue. The show was the first of 11 UK dates on the trek, which will be followed by 15 concerts on the continent and 3 UK arena shows.

"He didn't want to see mics," the multi-GRAMMY award-winning engineer said. "Except the mic that he was singing on, so all the mics were quite a distance from people [in the band]. It was really unique. I had to use every bit of my 60 years of experience to try to figure out how to do this, and how to do it the right way. The acoustic bass mic was maybe eight feet from the bass, down and out of the way so he couldn't see it. He could look at the bass player but couldn't see the mic. "
Dylan, it seems, was very happy with the results of the sessions: Schmitt said that Dylan told him "I've never heard my voice sound this good before." Read more

The guitarist was a founding member of the Canvey Island outfit in 1971 but acrimoniously split with Lee Brilleaux, John Sparks and John 'The Big Figure' Martin six years later. The current Feelgoods lineup offered moral support while he endured his 22-month battle with cancer, which ended with an all-clear diagnosis in October.
Johnson recently told how he hadn't been able to fully understand the success of Going Back Home, the collaboration album with Roger Daltrey that he thought would be his last. He also vowed to put his health woes behind him in 2015, saying: "As early as possible in the new year I want to get back on stage and play. One of the first things I want to do is a benefit for Addenbrookes Hospital as a tiny, tiny gesture of thanks for what they did for me."

He's been forced to step back from live commitments due to medical issues affecting his voice. But the band will still hit the road for the 22-date jaunt which includes four UK dates with stand-in vocalist Mark Poida from Aussie band I, Valiance.

Frontman Arttu "Archie" Kuosmanen says: "We can't wait to return to the UK, the birthplace of hard rock and heavy metal, with a bang! The stages will be bigger, the shows will be more hostile and the drinks will be colder.
