Todd Rundgren To Perform Classic Album In Full at Upcoming Dates |
Couched within an elaborate stage extravaganza harkening back to the halcyon grandeur of 70's arena glam rock productions, but in an intimate theater setting, AWATS Live is a rare opportunity to capture rock history in a bottle.
Backing Rundgren will be a six-piece star-studded band of legendary rock and roll veterans who will recreate each and every layer of vocals, guitars, synthesizers and studio chicanery of the elaborate psychedelic opus that is AWATS: Utopia and Meatloaf bassist and multi-instrumentalist Kasim Sulton; Tubes and Jefferson Starship drummer Prairie Prince; keyboardist and founding member of The Cars, Greg Hawkes; Todd Rundgren's Utopia keyboardist, Ralph Schuckett; percussionist and horn player Bobby Strickland; and lead guitarist and former music editor of Guitar Player magazine, Jesse Gress.

Bob Seger Looks Back With New Release |
The album, which features recently remastered versions of numerous classic Seger songs from the early 1970s and four previously unreleased recordings, will be available at Meijer's beginning November 24th. Starting the following Monday, November 30th, fans can purchase the CD or a full album download at the artist's recently re-launched website, http://www.bobseger.com, where snippets of each of the 10 songs can currently be heard.
The multi-Platinum rocker comes full circle with the album, returning to the Hideout Records label, which released his early singles and several of his early albums. In September, Seger entered Kid Rock's Allen Roadhouse studio and Yessian Studios in suburban Detroit to re-record elements of four previously unreleased tracks for the collection: "Gets Ya Pumpin'," "Star Tonight," "Wildfire" and "Days When the Rain Would Come."
City Boy's Unreleased Final Album to Finally See The Light Of Day |
On November 10th foremost US reissue label Renaissance Records in conjunction with ItsAboutMusic.com (who have released all of the City Boy catalog) will be releasing the band's unreleased album from 1982 called 'It's Personal'.
Formed in the UK in the early 1970s, Lol Mason, Steve Broughton, Max Thomas and Mike Slamer were playing folk music in the Birmingham area. Towards the end of 1975 they were offered a contract by Phonogram records on the condition that they add drums and a bass. So Roger Kent and Chris Dunn were recruited. Although some critics wrote quite favorable reviews for 'City Boy' (1975) and 'Dinner At The Ritz' (1976), it was not until 1978 and their hit song "5-7-0-5" on the subsequent album 'Book Early' that the public began to take notice. The single went right into the Top 10 of the British charts, and the album entered the Top 30 in the album charts.

Members Of Jetboy, The Zeros And Glamour Punks Form New Group |
Let us now introduce you to Cold Blue Rebels... a spankin' new super-group culled from the wreckage of these three classic Sunset Strip bands! Fronted by vocalist Mickey Finn of Jetboy, Joe Normal and Danny Dangerous of the infamous purple-haired Zeros on scorchin' guitar and slappin' double bass, plus former Glamour Punks skins basher Spazz Draztik on the drums. This is one helluva Psycho Rockabilly outfit... "heavy on the 'billy," as Mickey would say.
Recording albums for major and indie labels, and having rocked stages worldwide, these four west coast rockers have had a lifelong love of vintage Rock n Roll, early Punk Rock, Rockabilly and classic hot-rod cars.
