Student Shoots Himself After Ordering Teacher To Praise Marilyn Manson |
The eighth-grade student, who is in critical condition at Terrebonne General Medical Center, left behind a suicide note in which he detailed how he planned to kill others and then himself, Sheriff Craig Webre said.
Classmates of the gunman, who they identified as Justin Doucet, said they were surprised by his actions, but noted they found his love for Marilyn Manson and knowledge of Adolf Hitler facts to be odd. Three boys at the school share the name Justin Doucet, but only one of them is in eighth grade, classmates and parents of school-children said.

The Cranberries Frontwoman Dolores O'Riordan Returns |
With No Baggage, O'Riordan's unforgettable, distinguished voice is back and better than ever. O'Riordan co-produced and wrote all the tracks on the album with Ontario-based Dan Brodbeck, resulting in a bright, clean sound that finds the singer's astoundingly emotive voice front and center, be it on the gorgeous piano ballad "Lunatic" or the forthright, anthemic rocking track "Be Careful" or the infectious, driving lead single, "The Journey."
"I probably haven't worn my heart on my sleeve like this since the second Cranberries album [1994's No Need to Argue]," she says. "It's at times very confessional and dealing with my true emotions. Everyone, through their experiences or their background, has had terrible moments where they think they can't handle it. With this record I'm trying to show that, no matter how bad things may seem, it's not really that bad in the big picture" says O'Riordan.

10 Bands For $10 Tour |
Also appearing will be established bands with rabid followings such as Terror, Death Before Dishonor, War Of Ages, Crime In Stereo, Trapped Under Ice, The Mongoloids, The Ghost Inside, This Is Hell and Vision.
Poison The Well's guitarist Ryan Primack says, "This tour is really exciting to us as it shows some massive diversity that occurs in the hardcore scene. I think it's really amazing that Tim put this group of bands together. Some of bands on this tour have really shaped the good things that are happening in hardcore right now. Without some of the bands on this tour I doubt we would even be a band. Were honored and privileged to be sharing the stage with them."

Joe Lynn Turner Goes From The Street To The House of Dreams |
The first Sunstorm album saw the light of day in 2006 when Turner accepted Frontiers President Serafino Perugino's concept to blow the dust off from some potential AOR hit songs that Turner had writtern for the aborted follow up to his 1985 solo debut "Rescue You." It turned out to be one of the most successful, straight-ahead melodic rock releases of 2006. Jim Peterik (ex=Survivor, Pride of Lions) supplied additional tracks and the album was rounded off with some other AOR classics picked by Turner and Perugino.
The stunning production, courtesy of Pink Cream 69's studio wizard Dennis Ward, was hailed as one of the highlights and key factors to the album's success. When the second release was being planned, it was a natural choice to ask Ward to be a part of the project again. This time, he played bass and sang background vocals. He also enlisted Uwe Reitenauer and Thorsten Koehne on guitars, Chris Schmidt on drums, and Gunter Werno on keyboards.

Singled Out: Matt York |
Those Days by Matt York: The story behind this one is that I knew someone who for a long time (let's call him my uncle...) was seeing a girl and loved her to death. His only problem was that he never took it to the next level, never really told her how much he dug her and never made it official that she was the one he wanted to spend his life with. Because he never moved it along, she ended up leaving and I don't think he's ever recovered.
Recently a fan told me his story of marriage, divorce, marriage, kids and another divorce and this song goes out to people who had a lot going for them and then lost it for one reason or another. Hopefully, it'll help them figure out why things happen but give them some fire in the belly to do something about it.
This tune was written in a matter of hours in a tiny rehearsal space that I had in Toronto over the winter. It was one of those tunes that just came out of nowhere but was completed so quickly. I'd have to say it's one of my favourites for sure.
