AC/DC More Fan Friendly Than Bon Jovi, Zeppelin and Eagles |

Metallica Purple Hopes Shot Down |
Writing on his official web site, JonLord.org, Jon Lord commented on the report by saying, "It all seems like a lot of hot air and wild speculation to me.
"I like Lars and what he has achieved with Metallica. He's obviously always been very complimentary in his comments about Deep Purple, and I love the story of his famous nine-years-old 'baptism of fire' at our '73 concert in The KB Halle in Copenhagen, but if I was asked to be involved in a 'Mark III' reunion (which, by the way, I haven't. All I ever said was that the idea had a few good points and a few not-so-good points.) and I indeed considered that offer, I would not be able to even imagine it without the presence of Ian Paice."

Weiland STP Shy On Solo Tour |
"People having been yelling for us to play STP songs at every show and this is understandable. But you guys have to understand a few things. To begin with, there is a another band called STP that is actually out there touring and if you want to hear a whole set of STP tunes, you can pretty easily go see them; they were just on tour for five months and they are doing a few shows next week. So it's not like they are broken up and you can't ever see them anymore. That's not the case. So that's one reason not to sit there screaming STP at a Scott solo show.
"Also, Scott WANTS to play his solo stuff, that's what this 'solo' touring stuff is all about. He wants to establish an identity for himself that separate from STP and VR. So if you buy a ticket to a Scott Weiland solo tour concert, you should be prepared to hear mostly Scott Weiland solo songs."
Michael Jackson to Give McCartney Beatles Songs Back |
Once friends and collaborators, the two had a bitter falling out in 1985 when Jackson, then flush with Thriller cash, beat out Sir Paul (and Yoko One, John Lennon's widow) in a bid to snatch up the rights to 200 of the Fab Four's iconic hits.
McCartney, 66, and Jackson, 50, have barely spoken since that time, and Macca has made no secret of his annoyance. In a 2006 interview he said, "You know what doesn't feel very good, is going on tour and paying to sing all my songs. Every time I sing Hey Jude, I've got to pay someone."

Coheed and Tim Burton |

"We are psyched about this movie! We are all fans of Tim Burton, and Shane Acker's original short entitled "9", was brilliant, and even Timur Bekmambetov of "Wanted" is a producer on this movie. So obviously we are really proud to be on the trailer."
New Found CD Details |

Top 10 List of Misspelled Albums of All Time |
Entitled "10 Horribly Misspelled Album Titles (and why we like 'em!)", the list, written by Adam K. Raymond on the blog 'Mental Floss' caught the eye of Prefix magazine's Tony Sclafani who commented, "People have been keeping lists of their favourite misspelled band names since the day the Beatles decided to substitute an "a" for an "e" in their moniker."
"The famously misspelled title of the classic Zombies album is the least intentional on the list," commented Mental Floss (the magazine's slogan is "Where Knowledge Junkies Get Their Fix").
