Elvis Costello and The Police |
Fresh off the concert trail together, Elvis Costello and The Police team up for an action-packed hour that includes individual interviews with Sting, Andy and Stewart, as well as a raucous group session. It all provides a rare glimpse into the combustible chemistry that made The Police the biggest band in the world in the 1980s.
In addition to the illuminating talk, there's plenty of amazing music: Sting illustrates the original incarnation of "Roxanne", the song which put The Police on the map; Sting and Elvis harmonize together on an Elvis gem; Andy and Elvis team up for a bit of jazz; and, for the finale, Elvis and his band, The Imposters, join forces with The Police for an unprecedented "mash-up" of a Costello classic and a Police essential, as well as a surprising cover of a time-tested hard rock anthem.

Decapitated Seeking Medical Donations |
"As most everyone knows, it has been just over a year since the tragic bus accident that ultimately took the life of Vitek, drummer of Decapitated, and seriously injured their singer, Covan. The families of Vitek and Covan wish to express deep gratitude to everyone for their thoughts, prayers, funny stories, and donations sent to them during this last very difficult year.
However, Covan is still going through a long and difficult recovery, and the family would once again ask for you to look into your heart and possibly send donations. It is INCREDIBLY expensive for all the round-the-clock medical care, the doctors, the nurses, the therapy, the medicine, etc. Most of you could also understand that, since he is also in Poland, it is even more expensive than it would be in the US or most other parts of Europe. His care and recovery is ongoing and he is slowly showing some progress, but it will be quite a bit of time before he is completely better. Some people may think that, although they would like to help, that they have nothing to give but in truth, if every one person out there that thought this could donate even just $1, that amount will significantly multiply and make a huge difference!

Ana Egge Sets Release |
Co-produced with Ana's longtime collaborator, Jason Mercer, the CD also features musicians Steve Moore playing wurlitzer (Sufjan Stevenes, Laura Viers), Michael Jerome on the drums (Richard Thompson, John Cale) Frazey Ford & Trish Cline of the Be Good Tanya's contributing harmony vocals, Adam Levy on electric guitar (Norah Jones) and Tony Scherr playing upright bass (Bill Frisell, Feist).
Living a life that could be described as off the beaten track, Ana's parents were farmers who moved the family from Ambrose, North Dakota after a drought destroyed their crops, to Silver City, New Mexico where they started their own progressive school. Ana would learn to build her own house from the ground up, her own acoustic guitar (which she still plays exclusively) and begin her career as a songwriter at the ripe old age of fifteen. Her first album, River Under The Road, was released just five years later to a review in the Austin Chronicle hailing it "a debut masterpiece worthy of a songwriter decades worldlier than this mere twenty-year old soul" and earn her two Austin Music Awards.

Tolis G.Palantzas, manager of Sleaszy Rider, comments [spelling is all his]: "One of the most exciting things in the music business is to dicover some great, but unknown bands, it's like finding some hidden jewels...And listening for first time to this- unknown for me till then- band Of The Archaengel, it was a huge surprise. These Brasilian dark metallers are a great band. They can mix so nice and smart many metal genres with gothic elements and compose some really great atmopsheres! The band's vision to make some steps forward to the metal scene, the great communication with us and their whole attitude, did it easier for us, to sign them in our label.

The Antlers Set Release |
Hospice chronicles The Antlers' evolution from detailed dream pop to densely layered shoegaze, from solo effort to band. Beginning as Peter Silberman's solo bedroom arrangements and recordings, this upcoming release marks the first time Silberman assembled a group of friends to contribute: Darby Cicci (trumpet, bowed banjo), Justin Stivers (bass), Michael Lerner (drums), and Sharon Van Etten (guest vocals). Cicci and Lerner remain as core members of the live band.
Hospice is the follow-up to 2007's nuanced, upbeat In the Attic of the Universe, which became The Antlers' unexpected under-the-radar breakthrough thanks to blog word-of-mouth. Along with several other EPs, a successful CMJ and SXSW '08, and this past fall's midwest and east coast tour, Hospice is evidence of The Antlers'--and Silberman's--maturation.
