Puddle of Mudd Singer Injured During Radio Interview
Puddle of Mudd's frontman had a bit of an accident last week. It will keep him away from the press but not from the fans as they release a new effort this week. Here is the official word: "I was kind of hoping it was more serious than it is," says Wes Scantlin about injuring his right foot's fifth metatarsal bone while in New York City on Monday. "I was told this type of fracture is seen a lot in athlete's - I fractured mine simply hopping off a stool after our appearance on the radio show Rockline."

The injury forced Scantlin to reschedule a series of interviews slated for Tuesday - but the good news for fans is that it will not impact the rest of the band's set up for their latest Flawless/Geffen release "Volume 4: Songs in The Key Of Love And Hate."

"So much for a sexy explanation of what happened," says Scantlin, adding "we will be turning that up a bit when we head back to Los Angeles for our Gibson-sponsored album release party featuring their new Dusk Tiger guitar." The event is scheduled at the Gibson Showroom on Monday December 7, with the album hitting the music marketplace on December 8. - more on this story

Zakk Wylde Offers To Temp for Ozzy
Say what you want about Zakk Wylde but he is taking the highroad in his firing by Ozzy Osbourne as this Rock Radio report shows: Zakk Wylde says he'd rejoin Ozzy Osbourne's band to stand in for new guitarist Gus G any time.

Osbourne fired Wylde during the summer, leading to a series of outbursts where the Black Label Society mainman slammed his former mentor, saying he hadn't been told about his sacking directly and that Osbourne should "man up and pick up the phone".

But he's calmed down now, and says his relationship with the man he calls 'Dad' is back on track.Wylde tells Poparazzi: "Gus G is a great guitar player. Oz was like, 'Zakk, you're doing the Black Label thing.' Our relationship is bigger than music anyway - he's the godfather of one of my kids.

"Whenever he needs me - like if Gus had to go home because his wife was pregnant or something - I'd come out on the road and fill in." - He talks his health and next record here

Sworn Enemy Lose A Member
Sworn Enemy's Lorenzo Antonucci (guitars, vocals) announces his departure from the band after a decade of aggression and continues on with his new endeavor Smashface, who will soon begin recording their debut effort at Rockhard Studios in Austria with acclaimed producer Daniel Castleman (Destroy The Runner, Winds Of Plague).
Antonucci states: "Hey everybody, after a decade of being in SWORN ENEMY I've come to an extremely hard decision: parting ways with the band and longtime friend/partner Sal LoCoco (vocals). This band has allowed me the opportunity to see the world and provided many countless, good memories that I will never forget. SWORN ENEMY has been my baby since the beginning in 2000 and I've put everything that I had into it, giving it my all. It took me a long time to think this through, but after a grueling 75 day tour in the states, I just lost it and had had enough. I will always love the band and will always be a part of SWORN ENEMY, as well as try to write as much as I can for the band if they continue on without me.

"I will continue on with music and as some of you may have heard already, I have a new project with Chris Storey (ex-All Shall Perish) and another amazing shredder Sean Swafford. The band is called Smashface and I'm handling all the vocal duties. I also have a recording studio with my girlfriend (Lidija Lychee) and am also taking guitar lessons from Chris Storey; The man that got me shredding." - Check out my new band

Armored Saint Finish New Album
Los Angeles metal legends, Armored Saint, have completed work on their first new album since 2001'a Nod To The Old School. Joey, John, Gonzo, Phil and Jeff finished up La Raza at Tranzformer Studios in Burbank

"After 6 weeks, the new Armored Saint record is done. Well, not entirelywe still have to have it mastered which should be done in the next 2 weeks. So technically, there's plenty of time for more arbitrary bouts of stress. But all of the tunes have been recorded and mixed. And I have the dark circles under my eyes to prove it!

As the producer of the record, I did in fact work very long and hard on this. But I didn't work alone. Everyone involved worked their asses off. Gonzo, John, Phil and Jeff all came in and gave it everything. Engineer Bryan Carlstrom and his assistant John Nuss were the work horses who kept up the pace in this session which for the most part meant putting in 12 14 hour days. I can't say enough about Bryan, Nuss and Annette Cisneros from Tranzformer Studios in Burbank. This is a first class operation and to boot, they all gave heart and soul into the project which these days you just cannot even pay for. We are in much debt with them. Truly wonderful people. - more on this story
