Debbie Nelson, mother of rapper Eminem, was reportedly sitting in her Honda Accord at a gas station located at Eight Mile and Coolidge at around 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, when the suspect pulled a gun on her and ordered her out of the car. When she refused the suspect forced her out of the car by grabbing her on the wrist.
The suspect then took off down Eight Mile Road but police later recovered the vehicle and arrested the 16-year-old suspect, James Antonio Knott, who was charged as an adult with carjacking and armed robbery and remains in custody until he can post a $150,000 cash bond.
