Lamb of God Vs Limp Bizkit |
While Machine Head eventually returned to the bill in the slot below Limp Bizkit as the "special guests", many people had their own opinions on the situation, one of those being Lamb Of God guitarist Willie Adler.
Komodo Rock's Krissy Elliott spoke with Adler at the festival and asked for his views on the Machine Head/Limp Bizkit controversy. "I'm glad they came back on. It's a matter of they just didn't wanna open up for Limp Bizkit, and I agree with them. I wouldn't wanna open up for Limp Bizkit! They've been out of the scene for so long, I mean, who cares? Who cares about Limp Bizkit?"
- The real fun comes next when he's asked if he supports Limp Bizkit
My Chemical Romance Recording New Album |
The band are working with producer Brendan O'Brien, known for his work with Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Bruce Springsteen, Aerosmith, and more.
According to frontman Gerard Way, the new record is not a concept album: "At this point, the best way to describe the new album is My Chemical Romance being the purest, most distilled version of itself," Way said in a statement. "No bells and whistles, as the focus has been on melody and songwriting."
Burton Bell On the Battle for Fear Factory |
"Mark, before I go off on all the Comments and everything I'd like to make an official statement. First of all thank you for letting me do this statement and I appreciate your time Mark. First of all I want to cut through a lot of the confusion about one issue since it really will be part of every answer. I have not made a public statement about it, not wanting to air dirty laundry, but I have been forced to correct certain misstatements by Raymond and Christian.
"The fact that I have not worked with Raymond and Christian for the past 3 years as Fear Factory is for this one reason. Is that I did not want to be involved with their manager. Her name is Christy Priske and She happens to be Christian's wife. During the Transgression mixing session her and Raymond started a love affair that lasted for a couple years. As manager of Fear Factory this was completely unacceptable to me."

Daltrey will dust off material from his nine solo albums, some covers (he's previously preformed songs by Queen, Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen) and, of course, a generous selection of Who favorites.

Arch Enemy The Root Of All Evil |
Originally recorded with ever changing band members (i.e. former vocalist Johan Liiva, drummer Peter Wildoer, bass player Martin Bengtsson), "The Root Of All Evil" presents classic tracks as "Beast Of Man", "The Immortal", "Transmigration Macabre" or "Bridge Of Destiny" with the insane vocals of Angela Gossow, several completely new bass lines by Sharlee D'Angelo, the ever-present guitar wizardry of the Amott brothers as well as Daniel Erlandsson's merciless punch. The entire project was approached with the idea of having the possibility to re-add these songs to the bands live set and follow up the release with some special touring activity.
The album was recorded at a few different locations in Sweden and produced by Arch Enemy with Daniel Erlandsson and Rickard Bengtsson handling the engineering. Finally, this special release was mixed and mastered by Andy Sneap. In the light of ARCH ENEMY finding their defining line-up and a bigger worldwide recognition with 2002's "Wages Of Sin" album, it has been a logical decision to update the earlier compositions and present them in the splendour of a 2009 shape.
