Lamb of God Vs Limp Bizkit
Blabbermouth reports: The billing dispute between Machine Head and Limp Bizkit was the subject of much Internet chatter prior to this past weekend's U.K. edition of the Sonisphere festival, with Robb Flynn and Co. pulling out of their slot at the event after having been bumped down the lineup with the addition of Fred Durst and his LB bandmates.

While Machine Head eventually returned to the bill in the slot below Limp Bizkit as the "special guests", many people had their own opinions on the situation, one of those being Lamb Of God guitarist Willie Adler.

Komodo Rock's Krissy Elliott spoke with Adler at the festival and asked for his views on the Machine Head/Limp Bizkit controversy. "I'm glad they came back on. It's a matter of they just didn't wanna open up for Limp Bizkit, and I agree with them. I wouldn't wanna open up for Limp Bizkit! They've been out of the scene for so long, I mean, who cares? Who cares about Limp Bizkit?" - The real fun comes next when he's asked if he supports Limp Bizkit

My Chemical Romance Recording New Album
NME reports: My Chemical Romance have returned to the studio in Los Angeles to begin recording their fourth studio album.

The band are working with producer Brendan O'Brien, known for his work with Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Bruce Springsteen, Aerosmith, and more.

According to frontman Gerard Way, the new record is not a concept album: "At this point, the best way to describe the new album is My Chemical Romance being the purest, most distilled version of itself," Way said in a statement. "No bells and whistles, as the focus has been on melody and songwriting."

Burton Bell On the Battle for Fear Factory
antiMusic reports: Mark Carras of RockMyMonkey.com spoke with Fear Factory vocalist Burton C. Bell to get his response to comments made by his old bandmate Raymond Herrera over the legal battle for the band. You can listen to both interviews in their entirety at the full story link to get both sides, but here is part of what Burton had to say:

"Mark, before I go off on all the Comments and everything I'd like to make an official statement. First of all thank you for letting me do this statement and I appreciate your time Mark. First of all I want to cut through a lot of the confusion about one issue since it really will be part of every answer. I have not made a public statement about it, not wanting to air dirty laundry, but I have been forced to correct certain misstatements by Raymond and Christian.

"The fact that I have not worked with Raymond and Christian for the past 3 years as Fear Factory is for this one reason. Is that I did not want to be involved with their manager. Her name is Christy Priske and She happens to be Christian's wife. During the Transgression mixing session her and Raymond started a love affair that lasted for a couple years. As manager of Fear Factory this was completely unacceptable to me." - Listen to both interviews here

Arch Enemy The Root Of All Evil
PR reports: Arch Enemy's new studio album "The Root Of All Evil" contains a selection of completely re-recorded tracks from the band's first three albums "Black Earth" (1996), "Stigmata" (1998) and "Burning Bridges" (1999) reenergized and unified by the band's ultimate line-up! The album will hit stores on on October 6.

Originally recorded with ever changing band members (i.e. former vocalist Johan Liiva, drummer Peter Wildoer, bass player Martin Bengtsson), "The Root Of All Evil" presents classic tracks as "Beast Of Man", "The Immortal", "Transmigration Macabre" or "Bridge Of Destiny" with the insane vocals of Angela Gossow, several completely new bass lines by Sharlee D'Angelo, the ever-present guitar wizardry of the Amott brothers as well as Daniel Erlandsson's merciless punch. The entire project was approached with the idea of having the possibility to re-add these songs to the bands live set and follow up the release with some special touring activity.

The album was recorded at a few different locations in Sweden and produced by Arch Enemy with Daniel Erlandsson and Rickard Bengtsson handling the engineering. Finally, this special release was mixed and mastered by Andy Sneap. In the light of ARCH ENEMY finding their defining line-up and a bigger worldwide recognition with 2002's "Wages Of Sin" album, it has been a logical decision to update the earlier compositions and present them in the splendour of a 2009 shape. - more on this story

Blues Rock Legend John Mayall Sets 57th Studio Album Release
Kayos reports: Over the years, Eagle Rock Entertainment has developed a strong relationship with legendary blues master John Mayall. On September 15, 2009, through their wholly-owned Eagle Records subsidiary, Mayall's dynamic and masterful new piece of work: Tough will be released.

On this, his self-produced 57th studio album to date, John Mayall once again proves why he is known as "The Godfather of British Blues." Tough tackles a number of topics, deeply exploring the struggles in human relationships, the pitfalls of temptation, and the difficulties we face in the world's current state. However, through the "toughness," he also touches upon one more prominent theme: the promise of hope. Current, gritty, and strong, these 11 tracks are words of wisdom told from a voice of strength and experience.

Taking on multiple instruments (piano, organ, six and twelve string guitar, and harmonica, along with his signature vocals) Mayall is backed by his touring bandguitar phenomenon Rocky Athas, bassist Greg Rzab, drummer Jay Davenport, and organist/pianist Tom Canning.
