Underoath Too Bright To See, Too Loud To Hear |
For the striking clip, Underoath re-teamed with the Swedish production team Popcore Films--with whom the band received a Grammy nomination for "Best Short Form Video" for the song "Writing on the Walls."
"We knew we wanted to do something unique because we've never had a song like this before," explains [guitarist Tim] Mctague of the muted track with electronic touches. "We talked to our good friends from Sweden and decided to try something new. This is our fifth video with Popcore, so we felt confident in our communication, and direction; they couldn't have done a better job in our opinion."

Goatwhore Eye New Album Release |
For the follow up to 2006's A Haunting Curse, Goatwhore headed back to St. Petersburg, FL to record with producer Erik Rutan at Manna Studios with mastering being handled by Alan Douches of West West Side.
Vocalist Ben Falgoust comments on the direction of the new album; "I don't really know how to explain this. I don't want to come off with the typical speech about how this record is our best yet and all of that. I will say that I am quite pleased how it has turned out and all parts relating to it. I feel every member put a great deal of effort into their part of the project. I even feel Erik Rutan busted his ass even more this time to make us feel that we didn't take any steps backwards in the recording and production of this releaseI don't even really care what the critics say. I think the end result is basically coming up with something you have put a lot of work into and the satisfaction achieved in completing it. I will say that the new material is ripping metal and we still have that 'Goatwhore' sound, whatever that may mean for each individual that enjoys or hates what we do. Just look at it as another step in the evolution of this band. Each person that hears it will have his or her own perception of it. Like it or not, we don't have a say in it. The only thing we can do is just keep writing the way we do and accept the criticism. Doesn't mean we are gonna listen to the criticism and change. Just give it an honest listen and if you dig it, awesome! If you don't, then pass it on to a friend or use it as a new drink coaster."

Tanya Morgan Heading North |
Kicking off April 20th in the western-most province of British Columbia, the group will play in Vancouver, than head east to Edmonton and Calgary, hit the great lakes area for stops in Toronto and Ottawa, and finish up on the east coast in Montreal and Nova Scotia on May 3rd. Donwill had this to say of the dates in Canada: "Canada always shows love so we are really happy to be doing a string of dates up here. You know, it's kind of cool to see that your message is spreading. We always enjoy doing Canadian spot dates but this is the first time we have done an actual tour in Canada, so we feel like it's a special occasion." Joining Tanya Morgan on the tour is Singapore-born and Toronto-bred rapper Masia One, who recently saw the release of her double LP Pulau: Montreal In The Fall/The Islands in September, 2008.
Brooklynati is more than just an album, it is a fully realized experience complete with a Chamber of Commerce website in which visitors can explore the many attractions within the virtual city, including viewing the dining hotspots, recreational facilities, and even registering for an official Brooklynati driver's license. The Canadian tour is the official beginning of this ambitious project, as the official release of the album is now just a few week away. With these tour dates Tanya Morgan will take Canadian fans on an unexpected vacation to Brooklynati.

Army Navy Poke Fun At Music Videos In New Video |
Directed by Ben Cresciman, the video for "Saints" takes a swipe at the absurdities built in to the process of making a music video: bossy label execs, egomaniacal directors, on-set drama, bathroom sex and throwup ... all seen through the eyes (and lens) of lead singer Justin Kennedy's 10-year-old nephew. If you saw the band's previous video that featured Human Giant's Paul Scheer, you're sure to find this quite amusing as well. Check it out here!
Army Navy released their self-titled debut album on their own label The Fever Zone in late 2008. The band is prepping a July 6th 7" single and download for "Saints" on legendary Brit-pop label Fierce Panda's Fandango Records and will be hitting Europe with a slew of dates this Fall.

InnerKill Prepping Their Debut Album |
InnerKill's demo version of "Gagged and Bound" has seen some internet radio play on the Raven's Eggs and Kegs Metal Show based out of Colorado. Raven's review of the track was positive, and he has requested the studio version to be added to his rotation. This was followed up with the title track "Barbed Wire Noose" being submitted to the same program. It has also been received well.
'Barbed Wire Noose' will include the three tracks from the demo plus eight new ripping tunes, including local favorite "Guillotine". " 'Guillotine' was actually written while I was in Odd Man Out," explains founder and bassist Chuck "Rabid" Ivey. "The original version failed to meet my expectations. With Chris adding the missing thunder to the song, and Paul adding the siren guitar solos which were absent in the original version, 'Guillotine' is going to knock some fans out. It is finally written and delivered the way it was meant to be." Tracks that didn't make the prior band's cut but are now added to the InnerKill arsenal are "Gagged and Bound" and "Blood, Sweat and Blood". Rabid explains, "These songs were written in our transition from our former band to the new InnerKill. These tunes are somewhat dark in content because I was going through a difficult time in my life. 'Gagged and Bound' has this wicked bass line which others have sort of deemed to be played like a lead guitar."
