Motley Crue Want American Idol Theme Show |
Neil admits he initially dismissed the series as a karaoke competition, but quickly became a fan of the show after meeting the blonde country star. Underwood's cover of the rockers' hit song Home Sweet Home is now featured as the anthem for this season's departing contestants.
And Neil has become such a big fan of Underwood and the show that made her famous, he's now eyeing a Crue-themed night for the series' remaining singers. He tells the New York Post, "Knowing that she was a fan made it a lot easier... That (having a Motley Crue theme) would really shake them up wouldn't it? Might be good for the show." [??? doesn't he really it would be mean good for Motley Crue's sales? Perhaps Idol could also do a show with the 90s answer to Motley Crue: Limp Bizkit =)]

Underoath Slams Avenged Sevenfold as a Gimmick Band |
"People might associate us with Avenged Sevenfold because they're pissed Republicans and 'so metal', but they're a gimmick, they're a circus. They can't play and they can't write a song. What's worse is the way they look.
"If you need to have make-up and crappy names like Synyster Gates to sell records, then you shouldn't be here. That's not rock'n'roll to me. Arena rock maybe, but not real rock'n'roll. New Jet Album Landing in August |
After almost four million albums sold worldwide and four Top Ten (Modern Rock) hits, the Australian rockers have returned to form with an album that parallels their smash debut, Get Born, which produced hits like "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" and "Cold Hard Bitch." The new album closes the gap between the raw roots of Get Born and the grace and melody of Shine On (recorded just after the passing of Nic and Chris Cester's father), which together went on to make Jet an international band of style and substance. Shaka Rock captures the charisma and energy of classic rock and roll with just enough punk swagger and contemporary flair to create something uniquely Jet.
When speaking about the new album Chris Cester states, "I think Shaka Rock is like when TV went color. It's our musical equivalent. There are moments on this record that are just pure...and moments that just rock harder than we ever have before."
