However, the life in a band is much like those very roads we travel down on every tour; hills leading up, followed by valley's dipping downward towards vast, level planes where things begin to feel stagnant and a bit too calm. Then around every corner is a new fad or statement that you can either grow with or simply step aside and let it be what it is, knowing that you are no longer connected at all anymore.
For us, with this changing musical market and its inhabitants, it is simply our time to step aside and let the flow continue on without us. It is time for us to venture down new avenues of creativity and to find new things to enrich our lives fully. From A Second Story Window was something that gave us all hope and pride in our small part of the musical world, but with economical woe's pulling us down, and changes in attitude towards the entire movement of "heavy" music, it just seems right to call it quits and move on in our own ways.

The 31-date tour kicks off September 24 in Burlington, VT. The tour comes on the heels of a globe-trotting trek as a featured vocalist in Herbie Hancock's band.
The new album will be released on Decca/Velour Tuesday, September 2.

The Real Deal Tour takes Wishbone Ash on an eight-month musical journey through the UK and the USA, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Holland, Scandinavia and Switzerland. Along the way, the band will hold fan conventions in Port St. Lucie, Florida, USA; and Chesterfield, UK. [no dates were provided by the publicist]
Wishbone Ash's twin-lead guitar style, which combines melody and mastery, is the band's calling card. Their distinctive sound has influenced the likes of Thin Lizzy, Iron Maiden and a host of young bands.

Due in early 2009, the record will consist of all-new songs and is the follow-up to the band's 2007 self-released debut, 'Monument,' and fans can expect a series of in-studio blog and video updates covering the progress of the recording of Scale The Summit's new music.
"Writing is complete for our next album, and I have to say this is some of the best material we have ever written!" guitarist Chris Letchford says. "We have been working hard on this album for a good six months now and we are really excited to get to work on it in the studio. We are set to enter Nut House Recordings on Aug 29th in New Jersey to start tracking and the title for this nice group of jams will be 'Carving Desert Canyons.' Now...you all can be in suspense for studio updates, video, shows, touring, and of course some killer new music!"
