Stone Temple Pilots Add More Dates |
Stone Temple Pilots' long-awaited reunion tour, their first trek together in 8 years, is set to kick off this Saturday, May 17th in Columbus, OH. The 60-city tour will bring the iconic band's brand of charismatic musicianship and exhilarating live shows to amphitheatres all across North America.
On the eve of the tour's kick-off, the band is excited to announce newly added dates for their reunion tour, which will keep Stone Temple Pilots on the road through October.

In a show of their heartfelt affection for their fans, 3 Doors Down is also taking on the hard-hit economy, creating flexible, fan-friendly ticket prices that will vary in price, starting at $25 at all venues. Front man Brad Arnold affirms he recalls a thing or two as a huge music fan himself about saving a penny in order to see your favorite rock band.
"Being from Mississippi, I remember how great it was to head out to a rock concert as soon as the weather broke," says Brad. "We're so grateful to our fans for being there through thick and thin and supporting our new single "It's Not My Time," the idea of keeping ticket prices down is just one way we plan to return the favor. Of course, the upside to this is we will be accepting no excuses when it comes to having a great time at one of our shows."

Sources tell us People mag is shelling out "well over" one milllll-ion dollars (yes, as in seven figures) for pictures of Ash and guylinered Pete Wentz. That's probably more than she's made -- total -- from her "singing."
For their part the mag says "We're thrilled that celebrities continue to choose PEOPLE as the place to share their most intimate photos. We do not comment on specifics of any deals."

Winner of nine film festival awards, including three at the Cannes Film Festival, Control profiles Ian Curtis, the lead singer of the pioneering post-punk band Joy Division. Inspired by the energy of punk artists such as the Sex Pistols, the English rockers infiltrated the music scene in the late 70s with a distinct sound of their own. Following the tragic suicide of Curtis, the surviving members regrouped as New Order and went on to achieve great critical and commercial success.
The retrospective documentary Joy Division, directed by music-video veteran Grant Gee, chronicles the band's progression, as well as social and external conditions that influenced them. Blending archival footage and revealing testimonies from band members and key musical players, Joy Division gives an inside look at everything surrounding the rock scene of the 1970's.
