God Forbid Enter Studio |
This new effort is the follow up to the group's most successful offering yet, IV: The Constitution Of Treason, and the depth and diversity on this disc is easily going to position the band as of one the most innovative bands within the genre. This is an entirely new God Forbid that have matured beyond their years and are now more focused than ever before.
Doc Coyle (guitars, vocals) states: "Here we are! We have begun recording the new GOD FORBID album at Trax East in South River, NJ with Eric Rachel. Everyone in the band is really focused on this record and super excited about the songs. We did a very in depth pre-production for the last 2 weeks, where a lot of kinks have been worked out. There is more preparation for this album and any previous one. We have to give serious thanks to Steve Lagudi, who brought an entire studio to John's house to record pre-pro, and busted his ass engineering and tracking for two weeks. The material is varied and challenging, and I definitely feel another shift in the trajectory of our sound. We will be doing a studio blog keeping everyone posted about the progress, and also video taping as much as possible."

The Forward Tour |
The sonic spirit of the band's varied influences arrives in 2008 with the release of their debut album, Nothing But Teeth. Produced by Ethan Allen (The 88, Better Than Ezra, Counting Crows) and mixed by Mark Needham (The Killers, Bloc Party, My Chemical Romance), the album's 10 tracks capture the band's tightly charged and potent rock that feels like Nirvana met Modest Mouse.
With their firm line-up in place, the band entered the studio in late 2007 to begin work on Nothing But Teeth, with an independent release set for early summer. Prior to the album's proper release, however, the band will drop an exclusive limited-edition pre-release of the complete disc, available on the band's national tour, beginning March 6 in Los Angeles. The proper release will follow with the band headlining a CD Release Event in Hollywood, with more details forthcoming.

Idol Jon Peter Lewis Goes Soph |
The first single set to release digitally on all major digital service providers on March 18th, is the title track, an assured, infectious mid-tempo cut that recalls equal parts Ben Folds, Duncan Sheik and vintage Beatles.
Emotionally charged and overflowing with brainy pop hooks, "Break The Silence" finds Lewis offering the offbeat wit and inviting persona that made him an Idol cult favorite. Produced by Chris Garcia (Santana, Michelle Branch) and featuring the talents of drummer Kenny Aronoff (John Mellencamp, Indigo Girls) and guitarist Nick Lashley (Alanis Morissette, Natasha Bedingfield), Break The Silence is the sound of a talented young artist on the rise.

Midnight Movies Nights |
Lion The Girl proved Midnight Movies owned their own brand of "psychedelic pop," lead by Olivier's crystalline voice, both chilling and mysterious, coasting over a sprawling wall-of-sound. On this 6-song EP, the quartet revisits two LP tracks, re-mixed and dance-floor ready, and adds live favorites. Nick Zinner (Yeah Yeah Yeah's) reworked "Souvenirs," bringing a punky-electro urgency that effectively juxtaposes front woman Gena Olivier's bewitching vocals. Meanwhile James Iha (Smashing Pumpkins) injected "Patient Eye" with steady drumbeats and breaks, propelling the originally steady song into a frenzy.
Nights Tracklisting: 1) "Nights In White Satin" 2) "Should Have Known" 3) "Souvenirs (Nick Zinner Remix)" 4) "Stormy Eyes" 5) "Patient Eye (James Iha Remix)" 6) "Mes Reves de Satin"

Morgan Page Sets Elevate Release |
The first cut off the record entitled "The Longest Road" featuring Lissie, bridges house music and Nashville making for the perfect new dance floor anthem. The single recently reached Beatport's #1 spot on the Progressive Chart while gaining attention on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play Chart and CMJ Charts.
While Morgan Page has long been a household name to the remix circuit, Elevate is sure to set him apart as a multi-talented recording artist. With a new video on the way, a chart climbing single bumping the clubs, and a Winter Music Conference appearance in March, look out for Morgan Page to take over in 2008.
