The band has announced that guitarist Duke Decter (Ex-Idols, Drown) will join the band to deliver a blistering set of songs off the new SiX album "Between The Warning and The War". The set will reunite Decter and SiX frontman Lauren Boquette for the first time since both were members of alt-metal group Drown and in support of the band's 1998 release "Product of A Two Faced World".
"It'll be great jamming with Duke again. He's an old friend, we've had a lot of great times together, we've made a lot of great music together and damn can that guy put away the whiskey!" laughs Boquette

XX Teens Welcome You To Goon Island |
The 11-track album - produced by Sheffield's Ross Orton (MIA, Fat Truckers, Bromheads Jacket) - features the single "Darlin'" which will be available digitally (DATE [looks like the PR forgot to fill it in]).
"Welcome To Goon Island" is born from the great British Art School tradition, the core of the band having met at art school in Southend. Vivid and expansive, the album is political, innovative, and joyous it rumbles, rolls & swings coming to an end with the swirling psychedelia of "Sun Comes Up" and a moving eulogy from British peace activist Brian Haw. (Food for though: If they had added just one more X to their name, imagine how many google hits they would enjoyed!)

'Beautiful Mess'; the band's ninth studio album [in case missed that in the first paragraph when it was mentioned], evokes a more intimate, jazzy sound.
Corinne Drewery's voice has a more mature timbre, supported by Andy Connell's unusually restrained, rhythm-heavy backdrop, yet still interwoven with their signature string and vocal arrangements.

The Gabe Dixon Band Sets Release |
The first incarnation of The Gabe Dixon Band was born nine years ago as a jam band with heavy jazz influences, but after a bout of cutbacks and regime changes at their original label, the band members had a collective epiphany and decided to reinvent themselves as a song-based trio. A reviewer for The Nashville Tennessean, Dixon's hometown paper, called it early in 2005 when he stated unequivocally that the young artist "deserves to join the ranks of Jackson Browne and early Elton John in the pop pantheon."
The Gabe Dixon Band cut their self-titled album, due out on August 26th, live at Nashville's renowned Blackbird Studios with co-producer/ engineer mixer Neal Cappelino (Alison Krauss, Mindy Smith, Jonny Lang).
