UMe reports: The producers of the smash hit Broadway production of GREASE are proud to announce that "American Idol" Season Five finalist, Ace Young, will make his Broadway debut when he joins the company in the role of "Kenickie" on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.

Ace Young achieved widespread fame in 2006 as a finalist on the hugely successful FOX singing competition "American Idol." With weekly exposure to the 40 million plus viewers of America's most widely watched television program, Ace quickly became one of the most recognizable male faces ever to appear on "Idol."

Following "Idol," Ace traveled the country performing in 60 sold out arenas across the nation as part of the "American Idols Live Tour." He has played guest starring roles on the popular television sitcoms "Half & Half" and "Bones." A Dreamer's Guide to Hardcore Living
PR reports: Wendy McNeill's journey through the land of imagination continues with her latest release on Six Shooter Records, A Dreamer's Guide to Hardcore Living Out Sept 9th.
With each vocal and accordion exhalation, A Dreamer's Guide to Hardcore Living twists and turns like a sudden breeze over landscapes foreign and familiar, alighting for moments on the everyday only to crash through the looking glass into a world of ssssnakes and castles, white horses and long-haired men.

A Dreamer's Guide to Hardcore Living creates a kingdom governed by decrees of inventive instrumentation, unexpected lyrical imagery and distinctive artistic motifs Wendy McNeill rules both with velvet glove and iron fist. The accordion is the lung, and its breath is at times shallow and steady, at times gasping for air in wild revelry.

The Antlers Tour
PR reports: This fall The Antlers are leaving their Brooklyn homes and heading out into the wilds of the Midwest, South, and Northeast.

The tour comes as a celebration of the completion of Hospice, the first full-length The Antlers have completed since Peter Silberman chose to transform his solo endeavor into a full band. (Previously, "The Antlers" referred solely to Silberman's solo work, which included 2007's In the Attic of the Universe.)

The new release marks a maturing of The Antlers' sound. Whereas In the Attic of the Universe traded on sweet melodies and lullaby-like subtlety, Hospice skews much darker and much more poignant. Silberman's eye for nuance is still as sharp, but the benefit of his supporting musicians, and intensely personal subject matter allow Hospice to become a deeper and more fleshed-out journey than its predecessor. The result is at once engaging, unsettling, and moving. - more on this story

. Buffalo Killers - Let It Ride
This is a solid album, especially if you are a fan of reverb-drenched groovy classic rock. There aren't any tracks you'll want to skip. Put this on, crank up the volume and let the sound surround you. And make no mistake, the sound will surround you. (4 stars) - Read the full Buffalo Killers - Let It Ride review

. Head On Collision - Ritual Sacrifice
Ritual Sacrifice is the band's first full-length, and it is like being kicked in the balls with a steel-toed boot- not in a good way though, because Head On Collision is unquestionably horrendous. This it is not just bad, but f*cking painful. - Read the full Head On Collision - Ritual Sacrifice review
