The Lizards Announce Simultaneous CD and DVD Releases |
The Lizards new live DVD entitled '4.2.11' (an inside nod to 'Spinal Tap'), features the band in top performance at various locations and is peppered throughout with new interviews. "The gig at B.B. King's was us opening for Cactus, the band I play harp in," explains band leader and bassist Randy Pratt. "The Farmingdale, NY gig, we were opening for Zebra. The German gig, we were on tour with UFO, and Sweden Rock was Sweden Rock. We were well seasoned and fired-up at these gigs. There are songs from all our CDs on the DVD, including some rarely played live." The performances featured on the new DVD were filmed with multiple cameras for maximum visual excitement.
In conjunction with the release of The Lizards live DVD comes a new studio CD comprised of classic rock covers called 'Archeology', in which the band rocks new life into each legendary song. "For The Lizards this album is a love letter to our youth," says Pratt. "Heavy as hell, with a sleazoning of blues, these are great songs by great bands" Songs include "Fire and Water" (Free), "Head First" (The Babys), 'I'm Mad" (John Lee Hooker), "Juke It" (Boomerang), "Thunder Box" (Humble Pie), "Tramp" (Stray Dog), "The Wizard" (Uriah Heep) and "One More Heartache" (Detective).

Pro-Pain Ink with Regain |

Porter Batiste Stoltz Live Release |
The recording offers highlights from an epic November 2, 2007 gig at Burlington, Vermont's Club Metronome, where McConnell joined PBS on stage for part of their performance. Documentation of the evening has been highly sought after by fan communities, yet there have been no known recordings of the show - until now.
MOODOO, which will be available at retail stores and online beginning September 30, documents an evening ripe with musical mojo. What else could happen when New Orleans' funk royalty blends utterly with one of Vermont's finest? Page McConnell and Russell Batiste have a musical history - playing together in Vida Blue, a band that Page formed in 2001. Most recently, Page also performed with PBS at the 2008 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on the Acura Stage (main).
In conjunction with the release of MOODOO , Porter Batiste Stoltz featuring Page McConnell will perform select shows this fall.

Viewer voting for the 2008 MTV VMAs nominees has ended with a bang! For the fourth consecutive week MTV viewers have helped determine nominees for the "2008 MTV Video Music Awards" and this Friday on FNMTV Premieres artists up for "Best Rock Video" and" Video of the Year" were revealed.
The "2008 MTV Video Music Awards" nominees for "Video of the Year" includes multiple nominees Britney Spears � "Piece of Me, Jonas Brothers - "Burnin Up," Chris Brown � "Forever," and Pussycat Dolls � "When I Grow Up." Rounding out the "Video of the Year" noms is British duo The Ting Tings with "Shut Up And Let Me Go." Artists vying for this year's "Best Rock Video" are Paramore, Slipknot, Linkin' Park, Foo Fighters and Fall Out Boy.

Jody Raffoul Sets National Debut |
Jody Raffoul is not your average artist. Not only has he shared the stage with all of these aforementioned acts, JODY was also the National winner of Bon Jovi's 2006 "Have a Nice Gig" contest, in which he was hand-picked and announced personally by Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora.
Jody went on to open a sold out show at Giant's Stadium in Bon Jovi's home state of New Jersey. Big Sky � which is Jody Raffoul's first national U.S. album release, via Fontana/Universal on September 16 - is poised to be his big breakthrough.

The film, directed by Christopher Pomerenke and produced by Ryan Page and Hans Fjellestad, explores music's role in shaping human history, the profound connection people have had to music throughout human history, how it has shaped our experiences and its involvement in our daily lives.
New additions to the cast include George Clinton, Red Hot Chili Peppers' John Frusciante, the aforementioned Kurt Loder of MTV fame, Carl Sagan's widow Ann Druyan, music supervisor Alexandra Patsavas (Grey's Anatomy, Mad Men) and Metalocalypse's Brendon Small amongst others (a complete list is below). Blistering New Label |
Blistering will release its first titles in the U.S. through Ryko/Warner Distribution on October 7th.
