The Blood Brothers Split

Punknews.org reports: The Blood Brothers have broken up. The news was confirmed by long-time Locust bassist Justin Pearson in a post on the Three One G forums. Pearson also plays in Head Wound City with the Brothers' Jordan Blilie and Cody Votolato.

There are currently no announcements from the band regarding farewell shows. The band found themselves label-less when their former label, V2, was all but shut down in January.

Double The Billy Talent

Punknews.org reports: Billy Talent has announced plans to release two new live CD+DVD packages. The records are titled 666 [Live] and Live Deluxe Edition and are due out November 26, 2007

Filmed and produced by the award-winning Pierre and Francois Lamoureux of FogoLabs (The Who, Tragically Hip, Alanis Morissette), the DVD portion of 666 includes 6 songs from each of the remarkable shows the band played at the Brixton Academy in London, Philipshalle in D�sseldorf, Germany and the unbelievable Rock Am Ring Festival in N�rburgring, Germany, where the band played in front of an audience estimated in excess of 80,000 people. The second disc is the audio portion of the entire D�sseldorf concert.

A second package, Bis a three disc set that includes DVDs of the complete D�sseldorf and Brixton Academy shows, footage from the Rock Am Ring Festival and audio CD of the complete D�sseldorf show and extra features. - Tracklisting

The Police Make Up Dates

BBC reports: The Police have rescheduled a number of concerts which were postponed when Sting contracted a throat infection.

The band were meant to finish touring in Japan in February, but have added new European dates for next summer.

Tickets for the postponed Manchester concerts on 15 and 16 October are now valid for 17 and 18 June 2008. - more on this story

Jordin Sparks Preview

PR reports: Jordin Sparks is the youngest American Idol winner ever in the popular TV franchise's history. At the young age of 17, the Glendale, AZ native earned 74 million votes, a record-breaking number, for the win.

Sparks , whose impressive credits include James Blunt's "Beautiful" and "Beautiful Liar" with Beyonce and Shakira, and showcases Sparks' soulful pop style.

Simple Plan Webchat

PR reports: Lava/Atlantic recording group Simple Plan will make their long-awaited return next week with the world premiere of their first new music in more than two years. The multi-platinum certified band will debut their new single, "When I'm Gone," with a special live video event on Monday, October 29th. The webchat heralds Simple Plan's eagerly anticipated third studio album, due to arrive on January 29th, 2008.

Slated for 6pm EDT/3pm PDT at Simple Plan's official site, www.simpleplan.com, the "When I'm Gone" world premiere event will also see the Montreal-based band divulging exclusive details of their upcoming new album and taking questions from die-hard fans around the world.

"When I'm Gone" will go on sale via iTunes in conjunction with the webchat, with an option to pre-order Simple Plan's new album through Lala.com and receive the digital single for free. Our Last Night Epitaph

PR reports: Epitaph Record's newest addition, Our Last Night, have begun recording their anticipated full-length debut and are eying a spring release for the as-yet-untitled new album. The New Hampshire-based hardcore/screamo group recently made the cross-country trip to Los Angeles to begin work on their first LP with famed producer Steve Evetts (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Every Time I Die, Saves the Day) at Omen Room Productions.

Our Last Night is approaching the follow-up to their 2005 EP, Building Cities From Scratch, with a refined sense of direction and skill. The group's new material perfectly blends enthralling cathartic melodies and tight angular riffs with growls and brooding breakdowns, for one of Epitaph's most ferocious new releases.

"Fans can expect a more developed sound compared to the demos we have online and anything we have released in the past," says guitarist and melodist Matt Wentworth. "We focused a lot more on the songwriting aspect rather than throwing a bunch of riffs together and calling it a song. Mudvayne Tracks

PR reports: Hard rock pioneers Mudvayne are proud to announce the track listing for the first ever fan-generated album, By The People, For The People which is set to hit stores November 27th. The highly anticipated new album which consists of several live recordings, rarities, demos, as well as two new studio tracks includes the first single, "Dull Boy" - was produced by Dave Fortman and recorded in New Orleans - as well as an incredible never before heard cover of the Police's "King of Pain."

The album is aptly titled By The People, For The People, because it is entirely fan-generated. Since September 26th, votes were cast and comments were posted to help pick the album track listing. In addition, fans submitted creative entries of art for the fan generated album artwork initiative. Keller Williams CD and Tour

PR reports: Keller Williams has been called guitar's mad-scientist, a one-man band for the new millennium, and dozens of other clever sobriquets dreamed up by fans and music journalists trying to get a handle on his uplifting and ever-shifting style of music. Though Keller's music has evolved since he first started playing music over twenty years ago, some things have remained constant: Keller is a prolific artist, an exceptional guitarist, and an accomplished songwriter. Now, Keller's twelfth album release looks back at a ground-breaking and already remarkable career.

Aptly titled 12 , the album features one standout song from each of his previous eleven releases. Keller himself dubs this his album of "hitless greatest hits." 7 Inch Drones

PR reports: Australian band The Drones have been bringing their brand of multi-faceted blues-based psych-rock to us for years with acclaimed albums like Here Come the Lies, Wait Long by the River, and their 2006 release Gala Mill. In celebration of their upcoming US tour with Band of Horses, The Drones will be the first band to kick off ATP Recordings' new series of double 7" vinyl called Custom Made.

Custom Made invites artists to submit 4 songs which will be released on limited edition 7" and also made available as a digital download. For each Custom Made 7" the bands choose: something old (an old song), something new (a song from their latest album), something borrowed (a cover) and something blue (a blues song, the word blue in the title, anything...)

The vinyl is limited to just 1,000 pieces, and 100 of them will be special edition silk screened printed covers, numbered and signed by the sleeve designer.

The Drones: Custom Made will be out on November 5th and will include the following tracks: Side A. Something Old - "Cockeyed Lowlife of the Highlands" (New recording of this old song) Side B. Heart's Dreamboat Annie Show on CD/DVD

PR reports: On April 17, 2007, the iconic rock group Heart took the stage at The Orpheum Theatre in front of a live audience to perform their spectacular debut album Dreamboat Annie in its entirety for the first time, for a DIRECTV special. The performance aired Mother's Day 2007, and will be re-aired in conjunction with Shout! Factory's release of a live DVD and CD of that concert in October 2007.

Dreamboat Annie is the first release in Shout! Factory's new DVD/CD series "Legendary Albums Live," which will feature unforgettable bands performing their quintessential albums live, in sequence, and in their entirety. The artists will also perform songs by the musicians they were listening to at the time for inspiration, and give exclusive interviews. "Legendary Albums Live" is a partnership between Shout! Factory and DIRECTV, and the recordings are produced by Shout! Factory-owned Blaze TV.
