Slayer and Manson Summer Tour
PR reports: It's going to happen only once, so you don't want to miss it. Slayer and Marilyn Manson announce that they will co-headline a North American major-market summer tour set to kick off July 25 on the east coast. Plans are for the tour to play some twenty-five cities and wrap up early September on the west coast. A full, confirmed schedule will be announced shortly.

Manson and Slayer will each play full sets, and two support bands, yet to be determined, will open all shows.

Just prior to the American trek, both Manson and Slayer will be on tour throughout Europe, sharing the stage at three European festivals - the UK's Download Festival at Donington (June 9), Greenfield Festival in Sweden (June 15), and Stockholm's Metaltown Festival (June 30).[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Family Values 2007
antiMusic reports: This year's Family Values Tour lineup will include Korn, co-headliners Evanescence, Atreyu, Flyleaf, Hellyeah (ex Pantera, Mudvayne, Nothingface), and Trivium and more to be announced soon. 

Korn announced the tour via a virtual press conference for fans on Monday night. According to the virtual Korn site at MTV, the Tour will start in St Louis on July 20th and will go to the following cities: 

St. Louis, MO; Albuquerque, NM
Atlanta, GA; Bakersfield, CA
Boston, MA; Buffalo, NY 
Camden, NJ; Chicago, IL 
Columbus, OH; Dallas, TX 
Denver, CO; Detroit, MI

Velvet Arson
Blabbermouth reports: TMZ.com reports that the wife of VELVET REVOLVER frontman Scott Weiland was arrested this weekend after cops say she torched the rocker's $10,000 wardrobe in front of the couple's home in Toluca Lake, Ca.

According to police, 31-year-old Mary Weiland was booked for investigation of felony arson vandalism after cops responded to a "female burning clothes" call late Saturday evening.

As I Lay Dying Tour
Blabbermouth reports: San Diego wrecking crew AS I LAY DYING has been laying low for the past few months, joining forces with producer (and KILLSWITCH ENGAGE guitarist) Adam Dutkiewicz (UNDEROATH, ALL THAT REMAINS, UNEARTH, EVERY TIME I DIE) to brew up a new album that will be ready by fall 2007. This highly anticipated third effort will be the follow-up to the band's critically acclaimed, breakthrough CD, "Shadows are Security", which came out in 2005.

Edge Charity Auction
BBC reports: U2's The Edge has donated his favourite guitar to a charity he co-founded to replace instruments lost or destroyed when Hurricane Katrina hit the US. 

"I wanted to give something really significant," the guitarist told the Associated Press news agency. Almost 200 items have been given to the Music Rising organisation for the Icons of Music auction, ending on 21 April. [see full story for more. Britney Brings Gun to Church
pr-inside reports: BRITNEY SPEARS' weekend trip to church sparked controversy yesterday (25MAR07) when a security guard pulled a gun on a photographer.

The TOXIC singer spent her first Sunday morning after her recent rehab stint at the Bel Air Presbyterian Church in Los Angeles - a regular haunt of top religious celebrities.

Illness Ends Arcade Fire Tour
Jam! reports: Arcade Fire has cancelled the final nine dates of its sold-out European tour due to a sinus infection suffered by lead singer Win Butler. 

Butler says on the band's website that he pushed his voice and body "farther than they are able to go" during a concert in Stockholm on Friday. He says he has been suffering from a sinus and bronchial infection for the last three months and that doctors told him to cancel the tour weeks ago, but he chose to push on. Indecision Reunion Show

Rocker Arrested For Rape
punkbands reports: Love Equals Death bassist Dominic Davi has been arrested and is being held on charges stemming from an alleged rape of a Virginia woman that took place in June 2006. The woman claims she met Dominic at a club in Philadelphia, and after the two left together on foot she was then raped behind a factory. The woman also states that she contacted Davi by email, and that he responded in January 2007, admitting in an email what had happened. She reported her findings to Fairfax, VA police who then contacted Philadelphia authorities to have the warrant issued for Davi's arrest last Thursday.

Philadelphia detectives found the band's website, and discovered they were playing in Fullerton, CA on Friday. They proceeded to arrange for Fullerton police to go to the club and arrest Davi prior to the band's set.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

punkbands reports: Virgil Dickerson from Suburban Home Records sent out a MySpace message under Drag the River's name where he mentioned that DTR's Jon had left the band's current tour with Rock Votolato.
