Van Halen Reunion Set
BW&BK reports: Sources tell Billboard.com a contract could be signed as soon as today for Live Nation to produce a 40-date amphitheatre tour by VAN HALEN this summer, with original frontman DAVID LEE ROTH back in the fold for the first time in more than 20 years. 

As previously reported, guitarist Eddie Van Halen's 15-year-old son Wolfgang has stepped in for original bassist Michael Anthony in the new incarnation of the group, which also features drummer Alex Van Halen.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

K Fed Vs Burger Flippers
pr-inside reports: Members of the National Restaurant Association in the US are furious with KEVIN FEDERLINE for appearing in a commercial demeaning fast food workers.
BRITNEY SPEARS' estranged husband recently taped an ad for Nationwide Insurance, which shows him daydreaming about being a rap star, but really working in a fast food restaurant.

Representatives from the organisation say the ad, which is set to debut during the US Superbowl broadcast next month (FEB07), is "demeaning and unpleasant" to the nation's restaurant workers. New Dinosaur Jr. CD Coming
Filter reports: Seems like there is no stopping the reunited Dinosaur Jr.! After globe-spanning tours with the original line-up of J. Mascis, Lou Barlow and Murph, the band managed to avoid the usual reunion pitfalls and pulled together to record an album of new material. 

Recorded in J.'s home studio in Amherst, Massachusetts, Beyond will be the first album to feature all three founding member's since 1988's Bug. It is due to be released on May 1st via Fat Possum (home to the Fiery Furnaces, deadboy & the Elephantmen), and will be shortly followed by a live DVD directed by Mascis' brother-in-law, Phillip Virus. Snoops Pleas in Weapons Case
AP reports: Snoop Dogg pleaded not guilty Wednesday to a charge of possessing a deadly weapon, a collapsible police baton found in his luggage at an airport. 

The rapper did not attend as his lawyer entered the plea in Orange County Superior Court and he remains free on $150,000 bail.

Who Will Play Glastonbury
Gigwise reports: The Who look set to play this year's Glastonbury, according to band guitarist Pete Townshend. 

The legend was speaking to xfm when he revealed the band is keen to play the Worthy Farm event and organisers are hoping to book them.

Beastie Boys Aim To Anger Fans With New CD
FMQB reports: The Beastie Boys have been quietly working on a new studio record, the follow-up to 2004's To The Five Boroughs. Fans in Australia could get the first taste of the B-Boys' new material when they headline next month's Good Vibrations Festival down under.

Famed Venue To Be Demolished
BBC reports: Hammersmith Palais - the legendary London music venue immortalised in song by The Clash - is to be demolished. 
The decision to close the venue was taken by Hammersmith and Fulham councillors in a meeting on Monday.

KNAC reports: Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian has posted the following message in the CDC Fan Club section of the band's website: "Finally, we're going back to work. We're going to Chicago to work our asses off and write a record. It's time. We're ready. One problem... no singer.

We were offered a direct support slot on a major tour this spring and (singer) Joey (Belladonna) decided he did not want to move forward. The reunion is over. Whoring Hendrix
BW&BK reports: Fans of rock star JIMI HENDRIX are unhappy at plans to market an energy drink bearing the guitarist's likeness. 

California-based Beverage Concepts is due to release the non-alcoholic Liquid Experience drink in April. "To see his image and the beautiful feelings it has created in me cheapened by advertising is very disappointing," said RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS star Flea.
