The Cleveland show will take place on Rocktober 10th at the Quicken Loans Arena and the Boston show will happen on Rocktober 30th at the TD Banknorth Garden.
Earlier this week we reported on some apparent snubbing of Michael Anthony. First his image was replaced on album art on Van Halen's official site but was quickly reinstated. Then a reader brought to our attention that Anthony's songwriting credits were removed on the song "Panama" so we dug a little deeper and discovered that his credits were removed from the entire '1984' album according to the ASCAP database. However, his credits appear to remain on the rest of the band's catalog. That story is here
Anthony himself spoke out this week for the first time since the reunion tour was announced and he showed some real class by taking the high road, explaining that he wasn't invited to take part in the reunion also encouraged fans to give his replacement, Eddie Van Halen's son Wolfgang, whom he called a "good kid," a chance. You can read that story with Anthony's complete comments- here.

Strangely, the Stones camp haven't announce this supposed retirement so maybe they like the irony of going out with a whisper instead of a bang, contradicting the tour name.- more on this story

Relient K Releasing Christmas Album Just in Time for Halloween! |
From the glory of "Handel's Messiah" and "Angels We Have Heard On High" to the goofiness of 1950's novelty song "I'm Gettin' Nuttin' For Christmas" and "Santa Clause Is Thumbing To Town" (wherein Relient K imagines a Christmas full of catastrophes that reduce St. Nick to hitchhiking), Let It Snow, BabyLet It Reindeer captures the many sides of the season.
There's elation ("I Celebrate The Day") and depression ("I Hate Christmas Parties"), nods to "Boxing Day" and New Year's Eve ("Auld Lang Syne" - with a new ending) and lots of old-fashioned fun along the way ("Deck The Halls," "12 Days of Christmas," "Sleigh Ride," "We Wish You A Merry Christmas," to name a few).
