A RSPCA spokesperson would not confirm that Doherty was the pet owner telling The Star simply, "It is a police matter, so we cannot deny or confirm the identity of the man who had the kitten removed. But it is very important to protect animals from substances that can do them serious harm."- more on this story

According to the New York Times, Ticketmaster chairman Terry Barnes and CEO Sean Moriarty sent a memo to employees announcing, "Live Nation has been a valued client for a very long time and we believe we've taken every reasonable step possible to facilitate a renewal, but they seem intent on a direction for their business that leaves us no viable way to work together."

Smoking Stones Avoid Fine |
Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood sparked
up during their concert at the London venue in direct violation of the
politically correct law and the operators of the venues feared a fine over
the ciggies but Greenwich Council decided to let it slide. Perhaps they
took the Stone's famous lyrics to heart and decided it wasn't worth it
to impose a fine when it would question their manhood. (But he can't be
a man 'cause he doesn't smoke / The same cigarrettes as me)

Planes Mistaken For Stars One Last Time |
Here is part of their farewell announcement:
"There are many reasons why we've decided to move on. Financial strain,
family obligations, etc. But truly, we just felt it was time. Our love
for each other and our music has not diminished. It will always be there.
I have no doubt that we could continue to write balls to the wall music.
Maybe someday, but for now, it's just time for change.
"Chuck and Neil will continue to blow
minds with their band, "Git Some". Gared will be writing/performing as
'Hawks and Doves'. (in collaboration with Matt Bellinger formally of Planes's)
He also is putting together another band with some familier faces called
HEXES. I will be moving to Chicago to be closer to family, hopefully starting
a band there with some old friends, and probably going back to school to
pursue my science career." - more

Kung Fu Sleeping |
"Sometimes in life, all the pieces just seem to come together," explains drummer Joe Zizzo on how the video finally came to life. "We knew we needed to do a video for 'Don't Hold Back,' because that's the song the kids really flip out to." The Sleeping has also known director, Adam Thompson, a very long time, thanks to their work on the band's first music video from their 2005 debut record, Believe What We Tell You. "We've known him forever and he's from Long Island too. He's been out in LA for a while now, and when he told him wanted to do a video, he came up with this idea to do a spin on The Warriors and old Samurai Sunday movies."
Shot entirely on film over the course of
two days in the Chinatown district of Los Angeles, the crew set out to
make a guerilla video of epic proportions. Armed only with a five thousand
dollar budget, the band and director hit the streets filming without permits,
collecting props from alleyways and dumpsters and literally stealing the
phone from the wall. "We needed a phone, and the budget was gone," explains
Zizzo. "We went to all kinds of thrift stores and couldn't find a thing.
We needed something that looked right - finally we were in a department
store, and we saw the customer service phone on the wall - so, Cameron
just grabbed it and we ran out of there".
