Beyonce Nude Mishap |
It's being billed as an accident, (or is it a wardrobe malfunction?) but it could also be called an ironic way to promote a clothing line by accidentally removing said clothing. It all happened last week when Beyonce took to the stage at a launch party for her clothing line at the Dereon in Toronto, Canada, according to Contact Music.
Hundreds of fans were on hand to witness Beyonce perform and during an a dance routine her blouse reportedly lifted up and exposed her bare breasts to the audience. Video of the mishaps is now making the rounds on the web. We won't link you directly to a site showing it but if you are industrious you can find- one
Michael Anthony Responds To Van Halen Reunion, Defends Wolfgang |
While Dave, Alex, Eddie and Wolfgang hit the road this fall, Anthony will be joining former Van Halen frontman Sammy Hagar for a tour with their band aptly titled "The Other Half". But with news of the reunion and what some see as snubs of the former Van Halen bassist, Anthony felt it was time to speak out publicly about the reunion tour. Here is what he had to say on his blog: "First of all, I hope all of you are having a great Summer!! I want to thank everyone for all the support you're shown me during the past months. It's all been pretty crazy, and I just wanted to bring you all up to speed. A lot of you have been asking about the upcoming Van Halen tour and my response to it. It's not that I'm not touring with Van Halen because I'm going out with Sammy (Hagar). I'm going out with Sammy because I was not invited to do the VH tour. - more of his message

Boston Tribute Late Singer |
The five-hour event took place Sunday night at the Bank of America Pavilion in Boston and was dubbed "Come Together: A Tribute to Brad Delp". Delp took his own life in March after reportedly suffering from depression.
Some of the highlights of the evening came when Cherone and Bettencourt performed a song they had co-written with Delp. The Boston Globe reports that "Delp's post-Boston outfit with Goudreau, RTZ, gave a heartfelt performance that included a new number written after his passing called 'Set the Songbird Free.'" Then Tom Scholz, Barry Goudreau and Fran Sheehan took to the stage to cap off the event to perform their hit "Don't Look Back" in honor of Delp. - Read the Globe's full recap of the show

Music To Hurt People By |
When asked which songs make you want to commit violent acts by Rolling Stone the majority of people named Blunt's "You're Beautiful". An understandable choice. The Black Eyed Peas "My Humps" were just behind Blunt at no 2 with Smash Mouth's "All Star" being the third most likely song to make you want to break your foot off in someone's ass.
For the 4th and 5th place winners we have to journey back in time a little further. Coming in at a solid (and ironic) No. 4 is Bobby McFerrin's "Don't Worry Be Happy" with the unforgettable Village People classic "YMCA" rounding out the Top 5. - more on this story

Switchfoot Bail on Sony |
They won't let a little thing like leaving Sony behind stop them as they have extensive tour plans (including heading over to rock the troops) as well as some solo projects in the works and a new studio album for next year. Here is their announcement: I've got some exciting news: after several years of trying to make things work over at Columbia we have officially severed our ties with sony to pursue making music independently. We are thankful for the incredible success that our partnership has produced over the years, yet within this ever changing business there can arise differences in vision and goals. These differences have now come to a point where we feel like parting ways would be best for us, and best for sony.- more on this story
