TMZ reports: Paris Hilton was arrested in
Hollywood early Thursday and charged with driving under the influence.
TMZ has learned LAPD officers noticed Paris
driving erratically at 12:31 AM and stopped her. They believed she exhibited
signs of intoxication. We're told they administered a field sobriety test,
and Paris blew a .08. In California, driving with a .08 blood alcohol level
is considered DUI.
Paris was arrested and was taken to the
LAPD Hollywood division, where she is currently being booked. The officers
who stopped the car did not know it was Paris Hilton until they approached
the vehicle on foot. Police sources say she was cooperative.[see full story

blabbermouth.net reports: THE BLACK CROWES
manager, Pete Angelus of Angelus Entertainment, has released the following
statement via the Amorica.org web board:
"Yesterday [September 5], THE BLACK CROWES
were notified by Marc Ford's attorney that Marc was quitting THE BLACK
CROWES and that it was effective immediately.
"The last show of THE BLACK CROWES summer
tour was on August 12, 2006. The band has since been on a three-week break.[see

PR reports: 'U2 Zoo TV Live from Sydney' will
be released on DVD for the very first time by (Island Records/UMe) on September
19th, 2006. As well as the legendary live show, the new release comes with
a bonus DVD, featuring live tracks, mini-documentaries and the famous Zoo
TV "Interference." This DVD will be available in two formats, a single
disc concert only set and a special double disc limited edition format
featuring a bonus special features disc. This special features DVD includes
never seen before footage from the "Video Confessional" - a room in the
outdoor stadium where people went to announce their secrets to the world,
alongside a series of mini documentaries including "Trabantland" and "A
Fistful of ZOOTV" All of this and more�the bonus disc also features a number
of surprises for the discerning U2 fan. The DVD also features PCM stereo,

PR reports: Death Cab for Cutie has unveiled
details of their upcoming fall tour. Having spent much of the past two
years on the road, the band is set to perform their third and final North
American tour in support of their Grammy nominated album, PLANS.
The Seattle-based quartet will launch their
six-week tour just outside Philadelphia at the Tower Theater on October
26th. The tour will then traverse the United States and Canada through
December 9th, with Death Cab set to play their biggest-ever hometown show
at Seattle's Key Arena. As ever, the tour will see Death Cab supported
by some of today's best and brightest indie artists, with special guests
including Ted Leo + Pharmacists, OK Go, and Jenny Lewis. Pre-sale tickets
will be available starting Thursday, September 7 through the band's website

ASESINO guitarist Dino Cazares is currently seeking a bassist for his as-yet-unnamed
project, which also includes Tim Yeung (VITAL REMAINS, ex-HATE ETERNAL)
on drums and Tommy Cummings (VEXT) on vocals. The group, which made its
live debut Saturday night (September 2) at the Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood,
California prior to ASESINO's performance as part of Dino's birthday bash
(DECREPIT BIRTH's Risha Eryavec filled in on bass for the event), will
be holding open auditions at Downtown Rehearsal 7th St. Studios (2155 East

PR reports: Jonny Lives! bombastic stage show
and anthemic rock romps have landed the indie band an opening slot on Everclear's
upcoming college tour. The NYC-based buzz band will heat up the Fall starting
with a television performance on NYC-based Fearless Music, a syndicated
music variety show. Jonny Lives! debut album GET STEADY is planned for
release in first quarter of 2007 via Eleven Seven Music (a Warner Music

People star Victor Willis was sentenced to three years probation on drug
and gun possession charges yesterday (05SEP06) by a California judge. The
MACHO MAN singer, 55, pleaded no contest and was given a suspended three-year,
eight-month prison sentence on the condition that he complete a 30-day
drug treatment program at the Betty Ford Center in Southern California,
followed by at least six months in a treatment program in Long Beach, California.
The former star was arrested in San Francisco, California in March (06)
after police found cocaine and drug paraphernalia in his car.[see full
