music.tinfoil reports: SpiralFrog, the new
music download destination, has signed an agreement with EMI Music Publishing,
the world's leading music publishing company, to authorize SpiralFrog's
use of EMI's vast catalog of musical compositions available for legal downloading
in the United States via SpiralFrog's advertising-supported service.
The agreement with EMI Music Publishing,
whose catalog is the largest in the world, is the first agreement SpiralFrog
has signed with a global music publishing company. It follows SpiralFrog's
ground-breaking agreement with Universal Music Group, announced last week.

Launch Radio Networks reports: DEF LEPPARD
have been famous for taking years to make a new album, but that might not
be the case for their next project. The band was working on new material
while recording their covers project "Yeah!", and according to a message
from lead singer Joe Elliott on the official DefLeppard.com web site, "Although
it's way too early to make promises... we're gonna try and get a new album

PR reports: Virginia-based rockers River City
High recently inked a deal with Takeover Records to become the ninth band
signed to the label. Their second LP, Not Enough Saturday Nights, is slated
for a November 14th release. Says label owner Ben Harper (Amber Pacific,
ex-Yellowcard) of the signing, "River City High is a band that has worked
really hard for several years, and they definitely bring the rock. We're

in Louisville, Kentucky, will be releasing a live album on October 10th
on the Rock Ridge Music label. Entitled "Five.Bolt.Main Live," the songs
for the disc were recorded in February at the Bulldog Café in Louisville,
Kentucky. Heading up the production were Rock Ridge Music principal Jason
Spiewak and Matt Chiaravalle (Warren Zevon, Kittie, Jeffrey Gaines). The
album has 10 tracks, including 2 previously unreleased tracks and the band's
