Guitarist Robby Krieger will be at the famed Whisky to preview the upcoming box set, "Perception", while keyboardist Ray Manzarek will be next door at the Cat Club, formerly the London Fog, where the band made their live debut. There, he'll preview a mini-version of the band's forthcoming Rock and Roll Hall of Fame exhibit, opening May 25 at the Rock Hall in Cleveland. Finally, drummer John Densmore will be at Book Soup, former home of the Cinematheque 16, to host a poetry reading of late vocalist Jim Morrison's work. Three days before the tour was to begin, the bus company pulled out leaving us to scramble with no replacement. In a panic we called multiple bus companies to save the day, one of which was a company called ****** ***** & ****, owned by **** ********* out of Philadelphia. Questions have arisen over whether the new RAY SINGS, BASIE SWINGS album is eligible for a commendation for the 2007 awards ceremony as the project combines recently discovered vocals by the soul legend with newly recorded backing tracks by the COUNT BASIE ORCHESTRA.
