Song: Damien Rice player

Artist: Black Crowes

Reviews: The Killers | Pixies | 2&2 Q&A: Chelsea Smiles | By Night

.
2&2 4 Tues: Chelsea Smiles
antiMusic reports: For this week's 2&2 we had the pleasure of speaking with Skye from The Chelsea Smiles as the band was winning over fans in Texas supporting Social Distortion. We asked Skye about their new album, 'Thirty Six Hours Later,' (which hits stores today), his abrupt departure from Bullets and Octane and more.

2&2: I heard there was a little bit of controversy with your exit from Bullets And Octane. Can you tell us a little bit about what happened? ** Skye: To make a long story short I got fired for writing too many songs for the band. Gene was pissed about me writing his lyrics and drawing to much attention away from him on stage, "stealing his thunder" as he put it. A week before we started Pre-production Gene went to the rest of the band, the manager and the label saying either I was fired or he would quit. So I was fired and Jack(the other guitarist at the time)Quit. It's a lot easier to replace a guitarist then a front man you know? They continued to record the album using songs I wrote with out my permission or payment for the use of them...But as they say....---- happens.

2&2: Given yours and Todd's past bands (Bullets And Octane, Black Market Saints, Danzig, D Generation, Motorhead, Son of Sam and Murphy's Law) which quite a diverse lot, people may make some assumptions about your sound. How would you describe your music to someone that hasn't heard it? ** Skye: We are all fans of the Stones, Thunders, and The New York Dolls. Although we aren't looking to sound like any of these bands you will here the influence. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Duff Stalker Bust
TMZ reports: Hilary Duff's alleged 18-year-old stalker has been arrested and sources tell TMZ the bust occurred after the man threatened to kill Duff this weekend. Manhattan Beach cops arrested Maksim Miakovsky, an 18-year-old Russian emigre, at a Residence Inn last Friday. He was booked on charges of making criminal threats and stalking.

TMZ first reported last month that Duff and her boyfriend, Joel Madden, were terrified that Miakovsky would do harm to them. Duff and Madden asked for a restraining order, alleging that Miakovsky "has stated his intention of 'removing' his 'enemies' (i.e., those who prevent him from being with her), has stated his intention of purchasing a weapon, and has threatened to kill himself and to engage in dramatic actions to get her attention."[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Fox Steals Band's Space
PR reports: With no advance notice or explanation, Baton Rouge indie rockers Bones have lost their long-established Myspace URL (www.myspace.com/bones) to the FOX Television show of the same name. Bones, the band, has used www.myspace.com/bones for nearly 2 years, racking up close to 20,000 profile views, over 21,000 song plays and over 2100 Myspace friends. "Losing our URL was a complete surprise to us," said Michael Miller (upright/electric bass, vox). "We logged on one day and found David Boreantz staring back at us. It sucks because we've used that URL for almost 2 years to build our band name and fan base, and it's on all of our product and posters. We're as indie as it gets and can't afford to reprint everything."

Bones hits the road today for the East Coast leg of its Disconnected tour, in support of their self-released CD which is available via Insound.com, BonesTheBand.com and their newly dubbed Myspace page - www.myspace.com/7483383. [see full story for dates]- Click Here for the Full Story

Graham Coxon Illegal Speed
PR reports: Graham Coxon's new album 'Love Travels At Illegal Speeds' will hit stores on November 14th via EMI UK / Parlophone. Yes, breaking up is hard to do, but everyone knows the best revenge is living well - especially Graham Coxon. His departure from Blur six years ago was marked by Anglophiles as something that required a moment of silence, but out of this schism came something absolutely glorious: Graham Coxon's astounding solo career that has covered lengthy territory in the guitar trajectory only to land us in a place where Love Travels at Illegal Speeds. Hailed as his best album to date within the British music press, Love Travels at Illegal Speeds shows our Graham at his finest, replacing introspective experimentalism with taut, finely crafted melodies, astute arrangements and a truly strong voice, both literally and figuratively. Danzig Top 10
HER reports: Glenn Danzig - known primarily for his dark, hardcore punk/metal sound - finds himself with a Top 10 album two weeks running on Billboard's Classical Crossover Albums chart.

"Black Aria II" (evilive/October 17), the follow up to Danzig's 1993 "Black Aria," debuted last week at #8 on the chart and keeps a firm hold on the Top 10 coming in this week at #9. Danzig shares the Classical Crossover chart with artists such as Andrea Bocelli, Sarah Brightman, John Williams, Yo-Yo Mah and Itzhak Perlman. Produced, written and - with a couple of exceptions - performed by Glenn, "Black Aria II" employs thundering organ, otherworldly chants, operatic lamentations, poignant strings, ominous percussion, ritualistic chimes and other mysterious sounds to tell the tale of Lilith, the Biblical Adam's wife before Eve.- Click Here for the Full Story
