PR reports: Warner Bros. Records/Blacksmith
has launched a virtual community for critically acclaimed rapper Talib
Kweli in the immensely popular 3D social network, Second Life, in which
users, known as 'residents,' build and own their content online. Created
by Linden Lab in San Francisco, Second Life (www.secondlife.com) is a parallel
universe existing in cyberspace. In this digital world, users create and
dress up characters, build homes, form neighborhoods and live out alternative
versions of their lives in the 3D, computer-generated environment. Residents
can also spend real money, and actually contribute around US$350,000 a
day on average, or a rate of $130 million a year by using virtual currency
known as "Linden Dollars." Usage is growing in rapid double-digit terms
each month [Reuters, 10/16/06]. Anyone who logs in and creates a basic
(free) membership in Second Life will be able to interact with the Brooklyn-bred
rapper via his 'avatar,' or virtual world persona.- Click

PR reports: After spending the last two years
on the road in support of their debut album, Between The Heart & The
Synapse, The Receiving End of Sirens (TREOS) will be closing 2006 out as
part of the MTV2 $2 Bill Tour supporting 30 Seconds to Mars and Head Automatica.
The band will be recording their follow up to Between The Heart & The
Synapse in January to be followed by extensive touring across the world
to support the release in 2007 & 2008.

again for the holidays for the 25th anniversary of his highly acclaimed
annual Christmas Tour, which is one of the longest running Christmas tours

PR reports: Reprise Records' My Chemical Romance's
eagerly awaited new album The Black Parade, which hit stores on October
24th, has claimed the Number One spot on Soundscan's Rock, Alternative,
Top Albums Retailers, Indy/Small Chain, Internet and Digital Album Charts.
The album also shot to Number 2 on Billboard's Top 200 album chart, selling
over 240,000 copies its first week of release. The Black Parade debuted
at Number One in New Zealand and Chile, Number 2 in the UK and Mexico and
Top 5 in other countries around the world. The first single, "Welcome To
The Black Parade" has already topped the Alternative / Modern Rock Radio
Charts in the US and the singles chart for two consecutive weeks in the

PR reports: Machine Head is currently recording
THE BLACKENING at Sharkbite Studios in the band's hometown of Oakland,
California. Once again produced by singer / guitarist Robert Flynn and
mixed by Colin Richardson (previous MH efforts, Bullet For My Valentine,
Napalm Death) THE BLACKENING, set for worldwide release Spring 2007, is
the follow-up to the critically acclaimed album Through The Ashes Of Empires.
Regarding THE BLACKENING Flynn states,
"This is the most ambitious thing we have ever attempted. We all challenged
ourselves and each other to write a record that pushed the boundaries of
complexity and technical structure." Meanwhile, Flynn's lyrics have gone
from what has been, recently, a more introspective focus, back to the social
commentary tackled on previous albums like Burn My Eyes. Flynn continues,
"The nature of what is happening in the world led to a darker, bleaker
album in every sense." Pointed and timely, the lyrics in songs such as
"Clenching The Fists Of Dissent," "A Farewell To Arms" and "Halo" touch
upon politics, the war in Iraq and organized religion. The lyrics to the
aforementioned songs spit anger and disdain at their topics in the true

most successful classic rockers join forces to create an album of songs
that have been a source of inspiration for their respective multi-Platinum
careers?
The result is INFLUENCE, the sophomore
album by Shaw Blades--led by Styx/Damn Yankees guitarist/vocalist Tommy
Shaw and Night Ranger/Damn Yankees bassist/vocalist Jack Blades--which
is set for release February 20, 2007 on VH1 Classic Records. The self-produced
album was mixed by Noel Golden (Matchbox Twenty, Willie Nelson) and Great
White keyboardist/guitarist Michael Lardie. The first single, "Your Move,"

their epic mini-movie "Time Fixers." The Tenacious D's D-ciples are responding
by coming out in full-force to pre-order the D's first album in 5 years
and download the special free Tenacious D video. The first half of the
mini-film is a free download on iTunes. When you pre-order the album you
receive the conclusion of the film on November 14th. The D are taking the
masses with them as this special free Tenacious video takes hold of the
viral world and has started showing up on YouTube and blogs all over the
web. This special Tenacious D/iTunes promotion marks the first time that
a teaser clip with a cliff hanger has been used for a pre-order at iTunes.
Tenacious D's new album will be released November 14th, while their film
