Lee Lewis himself, the collection will include the first two tracks he
ever recorded, neither of which has ever been released before. "Sometimes
I can't believe all the things I've done - some seemed like a good idea
at the time," Lewis reflects. "The Time-Life story is the truth and, if
I do say so myself, makes for interesting reading and great listening."[see

New
Supersucker |
Day in Rock reports: Some posting as Mr Spaghetti
(under a guest account) on the official Supersuckers board confirmed a
leak that there is a new Supersucker. The message was signed Eddie, so
we can assume the message was from Supersucker frontman Eddie Spaghetti.
(don't get pissed at us if it wasn't!) Here is part of what he had to say
"We couldn't be happier to announce that Scott 'Scottzilla' Churilla will
be our main man behind the skins starting on June 1st in Portland, OR We
really wanted to wait and do a big, splashy press release to coincide with
our touring and new EP in June but apparently someone on the inside just
couldn't wait. No big deal, just a little earlier than I'd like. We'll
still do the 'big splashy' but I guess you people here really deserve the
first word." [see full story for more - thanks Jeff for the tip]-

sans the PTL moniker, Bazan has redrafted a tour/internet only EP that
he will sell on the road and via his site. The EP entitled FEWER MOVING
PARTS finds Bazan going back to his musical roots. Performing and recording
all the music by himself. The EP will have two different versions of five
new Bazan songs. One version will be stripped down acoustic and another
version will have full-instrumentation. Acclaimed graphic novel artist
Zak Sally [Low] is creating the artwork for the EP. [see full story for

Help
Children |
antiMusic reports: We all want to help children
right? How about helping out the indie band Children18:3 get on the New
Band Stage at Cornerstone Festival? Our very own Mark Hensch thinks really
highly of this band; so much so that's he written not one, but two reviews
for them! And they are even outside his usual taste in music, so that says
a lot. So be kind, help the children and have good indie karma shine down
upon you. How can you help you ask? Buy their CDs, send them willing women?
No nothing like that, but it doesn't hurt. All you have to do is click
that handy full story link and place your vote for them (and you can send
your willing women to us at antiMusic.) Simple huh? -

Staff
Meeting: DeadSun |
antiMusic reports: A lot of people work hard
to make antiMusic what it is. So with our 8th anniversary we felt it was
time to spotlight each writer so you can get to know them a little better.
Over the next few weeks we will be posting a small portion of each staff
person's new profile page. So let's get to know DeadSun a little better.
DeadSun is from a puritanical planet called
New England. Massachusetts, to be precise and has been with antiMusic since
Rocktober of 2004. The first albums (cassettes actually) he purchased were
Twisted Sister's "Stay Hungry" and Iron Maiden's "Number of the Beast"
and his first concert was Black Sabbath, circa 1976. "I was 'in utero',
if you catch my drift." . He lists Frank Zappa, Ramones, Motorhead, John
Coltrane, Henry Rollins, Lou Reed, Misfits (mostly Danzig-era),Iron Maiden,
Godflesh, and New Kids on the Block as his Top 10 Favorite artist (see
the full story for why on the last one). His musical pet peeve is "Cheese
dick white 'boyz' who employ the use of ebonics, in a piss weak attempt
to affect an air of 'street cred, yo'". His favorite part of antiMusic
is " Very democratic. No one specific genre or sub-genre is sheepishly
pandered to. That's rare, and Keavin is light years ahead of the trend
curve in this respect." Click the full story to learn more about DeadSun
and discover who he thinks should be the Pope of Rock n Roll, find out
why he hates Jimmy Buffett and Jerry Garcia with the fire of a thousand
LiveSuns and a lot more!
